Chapter Three

When we got to the school dance, Miranda took a deep breath and walked in. Maggie was wearing a short pink dress and Miranda wore a short baby blue strapless dress. And Travis and Justin ended up coming with us.They were both wearing their disguises. Travis was wearing a black tuxedo and Justin was wearing a white one with a red rose on his right pocket. 

The school dance was full of life. Lots of people were dancing and having fun.

" Hey!" someone yell from behind Miranda.

Miranda turned her head and saw her friend, Lexi, running towards them.

" Hey Lexi." Miranda greeted.

Lexi squealed," I love your dress, Miranda!"

Miranda laughed," Same here."

Lexi was wearing a strapless pink knee length dress.

Suddenly, there was a loud voice interrupting the music.

" Its time to announce your Valentines queen!" The D.J, Mr.Smith yell over the microphone.

" I know who's going to win." Lexi whispered in disgust.

Miranda nodded.

" I'm going to talk to my sister about something."Lexi said.

" The winner is.......," Mr.Smith said opening an envelope.

" Stacy Swift !" Mr.Smith yelled as people clapped. 

Maggie snorted in disgust as they watched Stacy's boyfriend, Jacob, put the crown on her head.

When Maggie and Miranda sat on the bleachers beside Travis and Justin , they saw Stacy walking toward them.

" Where is your boyfriend, Miranda?" Stacy asked smirking.

I groaned,"Shut up." 

" you don't have one do you?" Stacy asked laughing.

Before Miranda could rip the smile off of Stacy's face, Travis stopped her..

" I'm her boyfriend." Travis said seriously.

Stacy stared at Travis for a little while, and then burst out laughing,

Miranda groaned," Lets get outta here."

Miranda grabbed Travis' hand and dragged him to his car.

While they sat in the car, it was quiet. Suddenly, Miranda burst out laughing.

" What?" Travis asked confused.

Miranda  shook my head," Nothing."

Travis groaned, annoyed, while Miranda kept laughing.

After a few minutes, Maggie and Justin climbed in the car too.

" What are you guys doing here?" Miranda asked surprised.

" The dance was getting boring." Maggie said honestly.

Miranda laughed," Same here."

" You guys wanna go somewhere?" Justin asked climbing into the driver's seat.

Miranda and Maggie nodded.

A few minutes later, they arrived at the park.

" What are we doing here?" Miranda asked confused as she got out of the car.

" I heard there was going to be fireworks tonight." Travis said sitting on the ground.

Miranda laughed and sat beside him.

" Um, Justin and I will go buy some drinks." Maggie said tugging Justin away as they walked away.

10 minutes later, the fireworks shot onto the sky.

" It's so pretty." Miranda said amused.

" Um, Miranda, can I ask you something?" Travis asked nervously.

Miranda nodded," Sure."

" Are you free on Valentines day cause I want to take you somewhere." Travis said staring at the ground.

Miranda stared at him, stunned.

" S-Sure." Miranda finally said, blushing.

That night, Maggie slept in my bed, but we stayed up all night giggling and talking like some chatterbox.

" So, how'd it go with Travis?" Maggie asked excitedly.

" He want to take me somewhere for Valentines day." Miranda said blushing.

Maggie squealed," Justin asked me out too!" 

They both stayed up all night talking about Travis and Justin.
