"The simple, yet undeniable power of human love"
Lydia's body slid down the wall as the tears burned her eyes and her lower lip trembled. Sobs escaping her throat. She knew he was real. Stiles was real. He is real. All the signs lead to him.
Time had passed...
The sheriff walks over to the small girl and kneels down next to her. Placing his hand on her arm to help her up from the floor.
"Lydia...are you okay?"
He looked at her concerned.
She hadn't realized how long she'd been sitting on the ground crying.
Her eyes were probably bloodshot from the tears that had blurred her vision. He watched as she wiped her cheeks, she didn't want him to see her crying. He would think she was crazy. Hell, everyone thinks she's crazy for believing that he's real.
"Y-yeah. I'm fine." She smiled slightly at the man but didn't look at him, her eyes were filled with complete void.
The void that was once filled with who she knew as Stiles.
"I'm sorry." She whispered biting her lips before walking out of the Stilinski household to the blue jeep, and that's when she broke. Her throat constricted as the tears burned her eyes for the second time that day. She wanted to scream. She tried to scream, but her vocal cords were paralyzed. All she could do was sob.
Eventually, she got to the point where she was so empty and alone that she couldn't cry anymore. She drove to her house in silence. No music. No thoughts. Just complete and utter silence.
By the time Lydia got home it was midnight. When she stepped through her front door her mom rushed over, embracing her.
"Honey are you okay? You didn't come home from school and I was worried!"
Since when did her mom care when she arrived home and her whereabouts?
Lydia's face held the vacant stare she's had since she stopped crying. Her mother let go from the hug but grabbed onto her shoulders.
"Lydia?" She paused for a moment. Staring at her daughter's face.
"What's wrong?"
Lydia looked to the floor tiredly, "Nothing mom, everything Is fine. I'm going to bed."
Walking to her room after the encounter with her mother she sat in front of her vanity. As she gazed into the mirror she saw someone else. The girl she saw was not Lydia Martin. Mascara had run down her face from all the sniveling, her hair was a wreck from running her hands through it, and her lipstick had worn off. Throwing her hair up in a messy bun after washing her face she got up to turn the lights off in her room. The darkness engulfed her as she lays in her bed awaiting the restless night that awaited her.
God all she wanted was to feel again. To feel him again.
