Warning: May make u tear up
Olivia and Alex were at Nick's place, helping him get ready for the funeral. It wasn't easy when you lose someone you love. He was wearing a nice light gray suit, a white dress shirt, a dark gray tie and black shoes. Alex looked at Nick.
"Nick, everything will be fine eventually. You have the whole squad by your side. Liv and I will help you with whatever you need." He tears up.
"I know you guys care, I appreciate it but after today, I need a day or so to myself." Liv nods.
"I understand, Nick, you'll b given 2 weeks paid time off. No arguments." He smirks. Just then, Cragen comes in. He sigh before walking over to Nick, Alex and Olivia.
"Nick, I'm so sorry about Ashley. If you need anything, let me know." Nick nods and hugs Cragen. Cragen pats his back as Nick cries. Nick let's go.
"We should, um, we should get going." Everyone heads to the car. Alex drives them to the funeral home. Eliott and his family are there along with Rollins, Fin, Munch, Ashley's parents and a lot of the NYPD. Nick goes to the front and sits next to Ashley's mom. The priest starts.
"Thank you all for coming, to celebrate the life of Ashley Elizabeth Cullen. She was not only a daughter, but a wonderful girlfriend and a great SVU detective. This is not a time for mourning but for remembering the good times everyone here had with her. Now, Nick has prepared a little speech." The priest steps aside as Nick goes to the podium.
"Um, I wanna start off by saying thank you to everyone who showed up. I met Ashley a year and a half ago. I had just come back from getting shot in the shoulder by a suspect. I was on desk duty, try arguing with Lieutenant Benson." Everyone laugh a little.
"So, I hear this woman ask for Liv. I get up and there's this beautiful blonde, instantly I wanted to know more about her. As time went on we became partners and a couple weeks after that meeting, I asked her out. She agreed and we have been together ever since. I was at home, working on some papers that were due the next day, Ashley was just coming home from getting some dinner when I heard gunshots outside my apartment, I ran outside, my gun drawn, the suspect was dead and, um, so was Ashley." He cries.
"I still see that image." He walks down and sits back down. An hour and a half later, they bury Ashley. Liv and Alex are next to Nick. My Immortal by Evanescence plays. It was Ashley's favorite song. After she's buried, everyone goes their separate ways.
*behind a tree*
A brunette woman stands there and tears up. She walks away after everyone left.
