Alex P.o.v.

Me and Maria just went on our 5th date last night and I haven't seen her since. We're planning on meeting to get coffee today because we really miss each other. My phone started to ring.
A: Hey baby! I'm super excited for today!
M: yeah, um. I have to tell you something when we see each other.
She said sadly
A: Okay... is something wrong?
M: you'll- you'll see. Bye.
I don't know what's happening but I'm really worried. Soon enough it was time for me to leave. I headed down to the coffee shop and was looking for Maria. She was sitting at a table, looking down at her lap.
"Maria?" I said
"Hi" she replied quietly.
"What's wrong babe?" I asked
"I can't be with you anymore." She said.
"Wh-why?" I said holding back tears.
"My parents, they say I can't be with you, and that I have to be with another Latino, and not a 'white guy'. They say I have no choice." She said to me as my heart started breaking.
"B-but I" she cut me off.
"I wouldn't care if you were black or white or Latino or Indian or Asian. Alex I love you, but I need to go."
"Baby you can't leave me! You make believe in love, in life, in happiness. You make me believe. You make look forward to everyday. You make me wanna live. You make me feel like no one ever has, I have hope now angel. I respect your parents but screw what they have to say. All of a sudden, I hear,
"Maria! Get away from him! You're coming home and never seeing him AGAIN!"
Maria was pulled out and away by her mother. Balling my eyes out, I stormed out with a mixture of sadness and anger. I started walking home. I was about to cross the street, when all of a sudden...
