17 BBY~

Jade had been out searching and roaming the galaxy for two years, occasionally coming back home to check in on Obi-wan since he always stayed to keep an eye on Luke. Jade flew down into Tattooine's orbit after having been gone for a month, it was night time, the two suns just had set.

Jade landed the ship a bit away from the house since they were supposed to be in hiding, making sure she wasn't been followed by anyone as she hopped out of the ship and put her hood on, beginning to walk.

It was pitch black, the only light coming from inside the home. When Jade got to the door she raised her hand, using her knuckles to lightly knock. The home was only one room, the room segments being attached by large open archways. There was a kitchen and two bedrooms and then the main room.

Obi-wan had opened the door to see Jade, a smile had grown wide. Jade could see he was worn out, worn out by the heat of the planet, by the mourning, by the hopeless life they had now been used to. Jade felt specifically hopeless at the moment and reached forward and hugged Obi-wan.

Obi-wan hesitantly wrapped his arms around her, "Are you all right?"

Jade nodded, sniffling slightly and letting go, her and Obi-wan both walked into the home, shutting the door to the cold desert. They both sat down on chairs facing each other when Jade spoke, "There's nobody, Obi-wan."

Obi-wan looked confused, "What do you mean nobody?"

Jade sighed, "I've search every single system, moon and planet, were the only Jedi left."

"What about Teegan and Krosto?" Obi-wan asked, crossing his arms.

"I couldn't find them either, but I haven't felt them die, they're alive, somewhere," Jade said quickly, answering his question.

After two years of searching, Jade was done and Obi-wan knew it. "I feel so hopeless," Jade began, "there's nothing we can do, the Empire has completely taken over."

Obi-wan nodded, "they've been having a higher presence in Mos Eisley, it's hard to go there now."

Obi-wan and Jade had both changed their names, found an illegal fraud criminal, helped them take different identities. Jade was now Joslyn Terrano, Obi-wan was now Ben Kenobi. Though he was more known as Old Ben by the locals and people.

Jade sighed, "something is up with them though, I can feel it, something bad."

Obi-wan nodded his head, "I can too."

Jade felt herself get angry as she stood up, "there's no way we can be the only Jedi left, Obi-wan."

Obi-wan nodded as he noticed she was starting to heat up. Jade clenched her fists as she looked at a picture of Jade and her gem squad that they had taken during the Clone Wars. She only had it now because she had always kept it with her. The folds creases still showed, even through the glass frame.

Without hesitation she picture up the picture and turned, throwing it full force at the wall behind her and watching it shatter. She reached to grab a vase from the shelf before Obi-wan instantly stood up and stopped her, grabbed both her wrists and turning her towards him. Their bodies were pressed together as he held her wrists, she struggled against him, "Obi-wan let me go,"

"Jade, look at me," Obi-wan demanded, causing her to look up, "the Jedi aren't gone, me and you are still here, and nothing is going to happen to us." Obi-wan spoke with a soft tone in his voice, attempting to comfort her, "the Jedi Order may not be here anymore but we are, don't lose hope in us.

Their faces were inches apart as Jade took deep breaths, calming herself as tears started to run down her face. Then their eyes connected and it was if they could feel every emotion the other was feeling. Obi-wan's grip loosened on Jade's wrists and she took that chance to close the gap between their lips.

Obi-wan was completely shocked as she did so, but the feeling wasn't abnormal, it felt familiar, like home. When they both pulled away and Obi-wan spoke, nothing more than a whisper, "Why did you do that?"

Jade's eyes searched his facial expressions, "the Jedi Order is dead, you said it yourself." Her voice was quiet, full of need.

Obi-wan took this as approval and leaned back in, connecting their lips once more. This time was more passionate and it said so many things:

I need you

We need this

I want you

Everything is going to be okay

I love you

It felt like a long time coming, like they had been waiting their whole lives for this. Finding each other was the only thing that brought them happiness after the fall of the Jedi and Jade almost felt as though she couldn't be happy.

It was nerveracking for them both as they walked, Obi-wan walked forward until Jade's back hit the wall and their hands began roaming each other.

It was a need of being happy or not, continuing to follow the Jedi Code when there was no Jedi Order only brought them both sadness. They needed this.
