Running-Chapter Six

*Zoe's POV*

I was dreaming...dreaming about my past. I hate when I do, because they're always nightmares. This one is about all the abandonment I went through in such a short time...this was a little before my parents died.

*Dream/flashback*

"Trinity I didn't kiss him I swear! I would never do that to you! Or to Nick! Or did you forget that I have my own boyfriend that I love?!" I screamed and cried into the phone.

"Zoe! Addie said she saw you two making out behind the gym!" My best friend yelled back.

Make out? With my best friend's boyfriend?! I would never! Especially since I have my own boyfriend! I'm barely 15, I've never made out with anyone in my life!

..Don't judge.

"Trinity! Listen to me! Please! Addie is just jealous of our friendship and she wants to tear us apart! I would NEVER kiss Timothy! He is your boyfriend!"

"I'm sorry Zoe, but I can't trust you anymore, or Timothy. I'll have to talk to him at least. And I won't be friends with a cheater and liar like you. You can be sure Nick will hear about this! Goodbye Zoe."

I broke down, "How could you believe her over your bestfriend?" I wept into the phone.

She just hung up on me. I collapsed into a sobbing heap.

She just threw our friendship away. We've been best friends for 8 years! How could she not believe me?!

I just lost my best friend.

The next day I got a text from my boyfriend, Nick.

From: Nick <3 "Hey, um there's something I need to talk to u about..can u meet me at the park in 10 minutes?"

I sent him a quick "ok", grabbed my bag and headed to the park down the street.

When I got there, he was sitting on a bench, waiting for me, and he looked sad.

I walked up to him and he just asked,
"Why?"

I looked at him confused, "What do you mean, 'why'?"

He sighed, "I mean, why did you have to cheat on me? Was I not good enough for you?"

"But Nick! I didn't cheat on you! I would never do that, I love you!" Tears started falling down my cheeks silently.

"Addie and Trinity said you did. Addie said she saw you kissing Tim."
The tears started coming down
faster,

"I didn't! It's all a lie!"

He stood up "I'm sorry Zoe. But I can't believe you, it's not gonna work out. We're over." He brushed away my tears, kissed me on the forehead, and walked away. While I stood there with my tears streaming down my face.

I'm losing everyone I care about.

Little did I know...

*End of dream/flashback*

"Zoe! Zoe! Wake up love!"

I jolted awake, Louis was standing above me, looking concerned.

"You were crying...do you wanna tell me what happened?"

I shook my head while touching my cheeks, and they were wet.
Louis reached out and brushed my tears away. His fingertips making my face feel like fire. He came a little closer and started leaning in..and I found myself leaning in as well. What? We were only a couple inches away-

"Zoe! Wake up!" I jolted so much that I fell out of the bed.

"What the heck?!"

I turned and saw Niall holding his stomach, and his face bright red from laughing at me.

"Really Niall?! What do you want?!"
He calmed himself down slightly and told me,

"I was sent up here to awake you from your nap because its time for dinner."

He seems so amused with himself, I'll get him back later.

"Alright, I'll be down in a little. And next time, don't wake me up like that!" I said while glaring at him.

He ran toward the door, "Okay! But hurry up before its gone!"

I sat back on the bed, what was that second part of the dream about?? Did I really want Louis to kiss me? NO WAY! Can't be possible. Never in a million years will I fall for him. Or anyone, I'll just get hurt again.

Just realized that my author's note in Chapter Five, was from two months ago. I had saved that chapter as a draft and didn't realize it until it was already posted. Whoopsies :D
