"Our jets are one of a kind, gentlemen. She's 15.96 Metres in length, and has a wingspan of 10.95. She's 5.28m tall too. Empty weight: 11,000Kg, and loaded she's up to 16. She can fly for 2,900Km, and has a ceiling of 55,000-65,000ft. At altitude, her top speed is Mach2.0. At sea level she goes Mach1.25. Super-cruising at Mach1.5. Provided by two EJ200 Turbofan jet engines pumping out 20000lbf / 90kN (with reheat) each! These primarily Rolls-Royce developed engines have a bypass ratio of 0.4:1 and a pressure ratio of 26:1. The delta wing design you see before you and nose mounted joint aileron/elevator fins allow for a design that is so aerodynamically unstable in flight, that it is no match for it's opposition in terms of manoeuvrability. 70 on-board computers keep this baby in the sky. If 1 of these systems went down she'd simply fall like a sack of bricks, that's never happened. Sound good? Let's look at weapon systems...
... she's loaded with 1 x 27mm Mauser Cannon. A typical multi-role configuration for a Tranche 2-P1E would be 4×AMRAAM, 2×ASRAAM/IRIS-T, 4×EGBU-16/Paveway-IV, 2×1000-litre supersonic fuel tanks plus a targeting pod. She also has the capacity for a large range of other air-to-air and air-to-surface weapon systems.
She's the present, and the future of the Royal Air Force, men. Of course we've had her in active service now since 2007. That was 9 years ago! This is an £87Million aircraft in your hands. Take good fucking care of it!"
