What can I say about Maverick? Well, whilst using incorrect terminology, he's a regulation nerd. He follows everything by the book, his takeoff checklist, his radio comms, everything he does is done correctly, I've never seen him mess it up either.
He repeats a lot of phrases. He has this odd sarcastic comment he uses after being issued an order where he'll say "Yes, I will fly you to the moon too whilst I am at it!" He is a man of mystery. I don't know half as much about Maverick as I do the rest of the flight.
But it's always good to have someone who knows the rules in your flight. "There's a time and a place for a laugh and a joke" as they'd say in our recruitment days.
