Fionna's POV (Age: 14)

It was a cold winters day. I sat on my bed watching the rain fall outside on the grass. It pattered against it making the grass tremble, and bend to it's will. It was such a dreary day, the rain had totally ruined my plans for adventuring. I wasn't really against rain, but it sure made Aaa a lot more bland. There was nothing to do, and it felt like the whole land was hibernating.

The whole tree house was bone chillingly cold, so I had decided to cozy into my fur covers. A warm cup of chamomile tea sat to my left, the liquid warmed my insides with every sip. All of a sudden a crash came from downstairs. I frowned while gripping my mug. Cake had gone off to her boyfriend's house, so that couldn't be her. Grimacing I pulled the covers off myself. I put my feet on the cold floor of my room, this was so not how I was planning to spend my day. With my sword in one hand I clambered down my ladder. Into my kitchen I stepped. To my horror the cooler had been ransacked.

Rage coursed through my bones. Who would be so rude to come in unannounced, and steal my food? I scoured the area for any signs of life, unluckily whatever had been here was gone. Scowling I stomped back to my room. I'd clean up the mess later. Right now I wanted to go back to watching the rain. Once I reached my room I jumped back into my bed. When I landed I felt a lump under my back. It was soft and squishy. I leaned back I don't remember laying anything under my layers of covers.

Curiosity and fear rose in me, so I decided to do a really smart thing. I grabbed my covers under me, and pulled them back. A gasp escaped my lips as I looked in awe at what was on my bed. Before me lay a tiny bat. I squealed at the sight of it. It was so globbin cute! Ever so slowly I reached out my hand, ready to boop the hell out of the little thing. Suddenly it eyes opened up, they were bright red. It made a soft squeaking sound. My heart instantly melted how could it be so cute?

"Hey little guy what are you doing in my bed?" I questioned in a baby voice. You know how people talk to their pets, that's basically how I sounded.

The bat just kinda narrowed it's eyes at me, and snuggled deeper into the covers. Hurt panged at my heart, what a rude little thing.

"Hey you know that's my bed right? If you want to stay warm be nice." I told it huffing. The creature opened one of its piercing eyes. Reaching out it's tiny paws it gripped my hand, and hugged it. I found myself smiling, how sweet.

"That's better, I knew you could be nice."

After a minute I found the bat had fallen asleep. Weariness settled over me, so I decided to take a nap. I pulled the sleeping bat close to me, and then I shut my eyes. Hey the thing was just too cute to not cuddle with.

-Hours later-

I awoke letting out a big yawn, my clock read 5:00 pm, meaning I had been out for three hours. Looking around I found that the bat was nowhere to be seen. It hadn't said goodbye.... Wait what am I saying? It's a bat, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a talking animal.

"FIONNA MERTENS WHAT IS THIS MESS IN OUR KITCHEN!!!" Screeched a very familiar voice. I paled, crap Cake was home. I took a deep intake of breath, and rushed down my ladder to face her wrath.

"Hun did you try to cook again? I know you aren't the greatest, but would it kill you to clean up?" She asked, exasperation evident in her voice.

I looked around the kitchen gulping. It was even dirtier than before! A bag of flour had fallen onto the floor, coating the area in white. The whole place looked like the Ice Queen had went wild.

"Uh I didn't do this... I think someone broke in. I was sleeping I swear."

Cake studied me for a minute, trying to pinpoint if I was lying or not. Minutes passed, and then she started to pace the room.

"Well it looks like you weren't lying. But now this makes me nervous who in their right mind would just break in and do this?"

I shrugged in response, while walking over the the cooler. Peering inside it I found that all of my strawberries were gone. Dang whoever took them, I grumbled.

"Sugah whats wrong?" Cake queried.

"Whoever broke in took my strawberries." I bawled.

She gave me a sympathetic smile, and patted my head. "Don't worry I'll get you more."

"Thanks Cakey." I said happily.

"Alright well I'm gonna go play BMO, want to join me?"

"Nah I'm fine I'll just go read or something." I replied. She nodded at me, and then padded off. I walked over to the window. The rain was still coming down, even heavier than before. Whatever broke in had me intrigued. I was determined to figure out exactly who and what it was.

I really hope you enjoyed the first chapter! I'm real excited to write another fiolee fanfic for you lovely readers.

Before I go on here's some things you should know. This fanfiction will span over around fourish years of Fionna's life. So it'll go from age 14 to 18.(maybe more idk) It's gonna kinda be a story of how they met and stuff except with my twists on it. It'll be a bit dark, and will tug at your heart strings. It may follow some fiolee cliches, but I promise I will keep it fresh new. Anyway enjoy my bubbles!
