Chapter 1 - The Hyakuyas

~2 years later~

It was another peaceful day in Sanguinem. For most people. Vampires and humans included.

(Y/N) has been living in Krul's home ever since that day. She rarely goes out of the house/mansion/palace that Krul lives in. If she leaves the place, that would mean she was at her hideout where only Krul knows.

Today was no different for (Y/N) as she was in her hideout today. She was reading a book she got from Krul's library. Her hideout was underground Krul's home. She found the place five months after living with Krul and asked if she could make that place into her hideout which Krul allowed. The hideout was deserted except for an abandoned fountain in the middle of the place where (Y/N) would always sit and read peacefully.

When (Y/N) was bored in Krul's place, she would get a book and go to her hideout and read peacefully as she knew that Krul only knows her hideout and Krul doesn't always go to her hideout unless it's serious.

Krul can be viewed as (Y/N)'s best friend, mother, sister whichever one since she's always with her most. They would have conversations and also, Krul sometimes likes to dress (Y/N) so most of (Y/N)'s wardrobe came from Krul's opinion.

(Y/N) had become Krul's little singing bird as she was good in singing, she would sing for Krul when Krul was stressed or requested for her. (Y/N) always have nightmares from that dreadful day and would always blame herself for not doing anything besides standing there, rooted to the ground.

" Ah, shit... " (Y/N) cursed silently as she noticed that she was rereading the same paragraph four times now.

Then, a voice interrupted her.

" Ah! (Y/N)-chan! " a cheerful voice called out to her.

(Y/N) was seriously annoyed with that voice and clearly had pure hatred for the owner of the voice.

" What do you want? No. More importantly, how did you find this place, Lord Ferid? " (Y/N) asked with venom when she said his name.

" How I found this place? Easy! I simply followed you here. So, this is the place you disappear off to when you're not at Krul's. Does she know about this? " he asked cheerfully.

" Of course she does. She gave me permission for me to come here. Anyways, get out. " (Y/N) said with an irritated tone of voice.

" Aw, c'mon, (Y/N)-chan! Let me stay here! Besides, I brought a friend along! " Ferid said as he turned behind to look at a blonde boy with sky blue eyes.

(Y/N) turned to look at him with her eyes. She looked up and down at him then turned back to her book.

" (Y/N)-chan! Don't be rude! Say hello, Mika. " Ferid said as he pushed the boy in front of him.

" U-Uh, h-hello! M-My name is M-Mikaela Hyakuya! N-Nice to meet you! " the boy stammered as he bowed to (Y/N) who simply glanced at him.

" (Y/N). " she mumbled but loud enough for them to hear.

" Now, I'll be going now. I'll be back later Mika. Actually, (Y/N), show him the way out later alright? Thanks! " Ferid said as he waved goodbye and vanished.

" Damn that cheerful sadistic progenitor. " (Y/N) mumbled under her breath but Mika heard her and silently laughed.

" Why are you laughing? " she asked Mika who was still laughing silently.

" You called him a cheerful sadistic progenitor. That's why. " Mika said with a smile.

" It's true. He sounds cheerful but is sadistic in my opinion. And he is a progenitor anyway. " (Y/N) said as she turned back to her book.
