Evan was working the night shift. His colleagues already went home. The office was empty, the only person there was Brian. Brian worked with important paperwork, as Evan was typing away at his e-mail to his boss.
While Evan was typing the phone rang. Evan looked at the time, stretches and reaches over to pick up the phone.
"Hello" Evan answered as noticed that it was on twelve o-clock. No answer. Evan said hello but in more of a stern voice, but still no answer.
Evan pressed the phone more against his ear to try and phone a sound or hear a simple shift of the phone to know if someone was on the other line. Evan heard faint breathing coming from the caller. "Who are you?" Evan was more serious than ever. He was urgent to know who was on the other line. After about 1 minute of listening to the breathing the phone was hung up by the caller.
Evan put the phone back on the hook and lost all intentions to finish the work he was doing before. Evan looked at the time again and found that time flew by. How long have i been on the phone for? Evan thought to himself as he got up from his desk to go check out. Evan said farewell to Brian and left. Evan checked the time again, it was now 4am in the morning. Evan went to his car and went home.
As Evan arrived home, he pulled up into his drive way and turned of the engine. Evan checked his phone and seen 12 missed calls from an unknown number. He decided to call them back thinking it must have been an emergency.
As he went to call back he got a sudden chill going through his spine. He heard a faint cry for help calling in the back seat. He eyes widened and Evan turned around so fast that he could've broke his neck. Nobody was there, just a dark empty seat in the back of a black car. He heard a voice next to his ear, the volume just below a whisper and it said "It's right behind you, creeps on the ground, follows you home and does not make a sound. Better turn around!" with those words his vision grew dark.
"What am I?" it said.
