The Start Of A Beautiful Friendship

Noah's POV: Hearing Jude talk about his life the way he did reminded me so much of my life. Having my best friend kill himself because his parents were never home, having my ex move away for no reason, and worst of all having parents that are never home and when they are they act like I don't exist. To add to it the only friends I have are the ones that go to counseling with me. As I continued to think about how much Jude and I have in common I noticed that he wasn't in the room anymore. The last thing I heard was Cameron running out of the room yelling, " Where are you going"?

"What was that all about" asked Ashley the only other girl that goes here other then Sophia? Without saying a single word Sophia got up and left the room. For some strange reason I left like I needed to follow her so I did. " Where are we going?" I asked not knowing what to say. " I don't know where you're going but I'm going to go find out what's going on with Jude," said Sophia. " That's what I'm doing to" was all I got out as I heard Jude yell, " No one cares about me and no one ever will"! " Where are you going?" asked Sophia as Jude walked past up completely ignoring us. " What just happened?" I asked knowing that Cameron had something to do with it. " What did you do?" yelled Sophia stomping her way up to Cameron! " I didn't do anything" was all Cameron could say before Sophia went off on him again. " Yes you did! Because if you didn't do anything Jude wouldn't have ran away like that" yelled Sophia. " I told him that we needed him ok," yelled Cameron getting both of us to be quiet! " He told me that no one cares about him! Are you happy! I saved him from hurting himself and what do I get I get yelled at! Not just from him but from you!" yelled Cameron! " I'm sorry," said Sophia sitting down on a bench trying not to cry. " He's like a brother to me... wait no... he is my brother" was all she said as both Cameron and I sat down on both sides of Sophia. " I get it... you care about him. So do I" said Cameron. " Should we go after him" was all I asked?? " It's too late... he's probably half way home by now," said Sophia. " We should probably get back inside," said Cameron noticing that we have no reason to be outside anymore.

As we got back inside everyone acted like nothing even happened. But all I could think about was Jude and how I hoped that he was ok. Before I knew it, it was time to go home. As we all left to go home Sophia, Cameron, and I waited outside on the same bench waiting for ours rides. Of course like most of the time I was the last one there. As I sat there I started looking around trying to see if my mom was there yet and I saw him.

" I thought you left" was the first thing I said to him. " You do know that he was only trying to help," I said after he sat down next to me saying completely nothing. " I know" was all I got from him as he looked down like a puppy dog giving the sad face. The next thing he said was completely random " I didn't mean it"... " You didn't mean what," I asked not knowing what he meant? " I know I'm not worthless... It's just sometimes I feel like everyones life would be better if I wasn't here" he said looking up at me. " That's not true" was all I could say before my mom's car pulled up. "Great timing mom" was all I thought as I got up knowing that I should leave before I got my mom angry. Before I got in the car I knew I should ask him if he needed a ride being the nice guy I am "Need a ride home"? Not getting an answer other then I headshake I got in the car after saying " It was nice meeting you Jude". At that exact moment I knew that Jude and I were going to become really good friends.
