"You know it's rude to stare." I whispered in his ear.
He turned around and chuckled.
"Can you blame me? A beautiful woman walks into a room, how can I not stare?" He stuck his hand out and I shook it. "Its nice to finally meet you in person."
"You...
"What happened?" I asked Kalen as he cried on my shoulder.
"She was hit by a drunk driver." I hugged him tighter and sighed.
"I'm sorry." He continued to sob. My phone started vibrating and I took it out my pocket and saw it was Chris. I ignored the call and put my phone on silent then put it back in my pocket.

"I'm sorry you had to leave Chris and Jack." Kalen said and I shook my head.
"You're my brother, you call and I'll come." He wiped away his tears with his sleeve and the doorbell rang. "I got it."
I stood up and walked over to the front door and opened it. My eyes widened and so did the guy's.
Derek.
The street racer from LA.
"W-What are you doing here?" I asked.
"Um I was asked to-" He looked past me. "Hey man." He walked inside and gave Kalen a hug.
I closed the door and watched the two.
After a few moments they pulled away.
"Amber this is Derek, my bestfriend. Derek this is my sister, Amber."
I smirked and Derek narrowed his eyes at me.
"Nice to meet you Derek." I stuck my hand out and for him to shake.
When our hands touched it sent a shock through them causing us to pull our hands away.
"I'm going to check on the girls." Kalen walked away.
"Amber huh?" Derek bit his lip and looked me up and down. I rolled my eyes and went to the kitchen with Derek following me.
I opened the freezer and took out a small tub of icecream. I grabbed a spoon from the drawer and started eating.
"Didn't expect to see you here." Derek said and leaned against the refrigerator.
"Likewise."
"Does he know you street race?"
"No and we're gonna keep it like that." I said looking up at him.
"What if I want to tell him?"
"Why would you do that?" He shrugged. "What will it take to keep you quiet?"
"A rematch and a date."
"I'll do the rematch but not the date."
Kalen walked into the kitchen carrying 3 year old Kylie. She looked at me and smiled. I put the icecream down and held my arms out.
"Hey babygirl, Auntie missed you." I kissed her cheek and she giggled.
"Good!" I smiled. She looked behind me and saw the icecream. "Icecream."
I grabbed the spoon and fed her a little.
"Mmmmm." Kalen and I laughed, along with Derek.
