|AINSLEY|

I stared at the back of his head as he stared at the board mindlessly.

We were in the lecture hall and while everyone else was busy jotting down notes, I stared at the back of his head while he just stared blankly and uninterested.

I bit my lip as I observed him and Liana who was beside me, grunted as she nudged me. My head snapped to her immediately as she quirked an eyebrow.

"I still don't get why you're in this seminar when you don't even major in Sociology!" Liana whisper-yelled.

"Well," -I bit my lip- "because...Expanding my knowledge?" I replied which sounded more like a question, with a simple shrug. She rolled her eyes at me, shaking her head before taking down more notes.

I rested my head on my arm as I stared at him. He was breathtaking.

His head snapped back so fast that it could give him a whiplash. His gaze locked with mine and my heart was beating like African drums as I felt myself go weak at his attractive stare.

His beautiful gray eyes bored into my chocolate brown ones and I could feel my cheeks heating up as a blush blossomed through my cheeks.

Did I stare too much?

Who couldn't keep their eyes off him? His physique could make you feel thirsty. His hypnotizing, attractive gray eyes could spell you and his powerful sexy gaze could make you feel naked.

He played with his metal lip ring before turning back to face the board. I hid my face in my arms as I tried catching my breath.

I could feel my knees soften. His gaze was powerful and it made everything inside me feel weird. I knew he was the perfect candidate but I just didn't know how to well, propose the idea of mine to him.

"Where are you going?" I asked Liana as I averted my gaze from my paper to her. She rolled her eyes at me while giving me a "duh" expression.

"A party,"

It was all it took me to jump out of my chair and towards my wardrobe. Liana stared at me with a raised eyebrow. She pursed her lips before opening her mouth to speak, "You want to come?"

I shrugged and nodded my head as I pulled out a mint green skirt and white top.

"We're in college. We're young! We're supposed to party until we kick the bucket! " I cringed at my own statement as I put my top on. Liana looked at me, unconvinced.

"Ok. What's going on?" she asked in a strict tone, her hands crossed against her chest. A high-pitched giggle escaped my lips as I looked at her sheepishly. She quirked an eyebrow as she shifted her weight from one foot to another, "You don't go to parties unless I force you and you don't even like Sociology! You think it's boring," she stared at me with her piercing blue eyes.

I bit the side of my cheek as I considered telling her the truth. Her eyes narrowed to slits, "Well?" she asked, impatiently. I breathed out deeply as I pulled the mint green skirt on before plopping down on my bed.

"You know the short story I'm working on? The one about love and heartbreak? Yeah, well. I have never been in a relationship before," -her jaw dropped as she gazed at me with disbelief- "and I need an experience so that I can write about," I explained to Liana.

Liana closed her mouth as she stared at me with wide eyes, "You have never been in a relationship before?" I rolled my eyes.

Was that all she got?

"How? You're so pretty with your chocolate brown eyes and light brown hair. How could you be single for 20 years!" she exclaimed in disbelief.

"19!" I corrected her. She shook her head before placing her hands on my shoulders. "We need to get you to that party and get you a fucker who knows how to give it to you,"

I cringed at her statement as a shade of crimson red filled my cheeks. She chuckled, "Right, right. Little Miss Innocent here,"

"So, what's your plan?" Liana asked as we got out of the car. I played with the soft curls of my hair as I shrugged, "Find a guy. Have a one-night-stand?"

She linked arms with me as we walked towards the Victorian styled double doors, "Well, I don't know if it'll help you but...any candidates?" I looked up at her and nodded my head shyly, kind of embarrassed.

We pushed past the doors and the smell of alcohol and mixed deodorant hit me. The smell of body odour was also present in the mix and I wrinkled my nose.

"I'm going to go get us some drinks!" Liana shouted through all the noise before making her way towards the kitchen. I scanned my eyes through the sea of people and that's when my eyes landed on him.

He stood in front of a girl, who had a bodycon red dress on which showed off her curves, a deep shade of red lipstick, emerald green eyes and dark brown hair, on the makeshift dance floor as she shot him a flirtatious smile before whispering something into his ear. I couldn't tear my gaze away from them as I watched him just standing there staring at her with no interest.

At that moment, I couldn't help but just stare at him. He looked like a Greek god standing there in all his glory. He was just dripping with good looks. A plain black t-shirt and jeans was all he wore and he made it look so... Good.

His head snapped towards my direction and I froze in my spot. My breathing came out short and I could feel the electric coursing through my body. The room felt like it became ten times hotter as his gray eyes stared at me. His tongue shot out to play with his lip ring and I could feel myself go weak. The immense power he had could make everybody go weak with just one glance. I swallowed my saliva as he made his way towards me. The girl gritted her teeth as he walked away from her.

My heart skipped a beat. It was like everything else was blurred out as he walked towards me. One step at a time.

His tall stature towered over me as he bent forward. His warm minty breath fanned my face gently and my stomach churned.

"Ainsley White," he whispered my name in the deep, husky voice of his. I shivered. His gray eyes locked with mine and I was speechless. My gaze trailed to his metal lip ring and I licked my lips, having the desire to feel it pressed against my lips.

I swallowed deeply before mustering up all my courage, "M-Meet me in one of the rooms upstairs at 11.30," I stuttered. He took one last glance at me before standing up straight.

"You shouldn't be associating yourself with me," was all he said before he walked off. Leaving me to calm my heart.
