Leo's POV:
I keep glancing back at Max.
I don't know why, I just do. I know that I have Calypso with me now, but I still can't stop myself as I look back at her. She's talking to Ivan. Of course she is. Ivan probably loves her as much as I love her.
Or, used to love her. I'm not sure if I still love her or not, to be honest.
I walk over to Max and Ivan. They both look at me as I sit down in front of them.
"So, are you okay, Max?" I ask Max. The Garde said that we shouldn't tell her that she's the only one who can block SetràkFreaks whip yet so we don't stress her out.
Max nods her head. "I'm fine," she replies. I look deeply into her eyes and notice that something's off, I'm just not sure what. But I know that there's something different about Max's eyes. My eyes slightly widen when I finally notice it.
I nod my head and stand up, then walk over to Piper. She'll probably know what this means. Max's eyes have a tint of pink in them.
Conrad's POV:
I'm glad to finally have my Garde back.
She's so much more different than when I last saw her. When she was twelve, she had long and curly fire red hair and bright green eyes. Now she has short, straight black hair which is turning bright red and half-blue, half-black eyes with a tint of green in them. She's still pretty tanned the way she was four years ago and she still has a few freckles across her nose. She had thick glasses when she was twelve, though she didn't need them. It was a disguise to tip off the Mogadorians. Unfortunately, that didn't work.
Another difference is her legacies. Apparently she now has enhancement, telekinesis, telepathy, Lumen, invisibility, flight, anti-gravity, resurrection, and legacy transfer. Wow.
She's extremely strong, too, and I also heard that she's dating Number Four, or John Smith, and that she's a daughter of the Greek sea God, Poseidon. I never knew that. I never knew her father, but I do know who her mother is. Oh, and also, she's the only one who can block Setrákus Ra's whip.
I look at Max and she's sitting with Ivan on the ground, talking. I don't know what it's about, but I'm not focused on their conversation. I'm more focused on the Mogadorian. He looks familiar.
Then it hits me.
That's Mogadorian that stabbed me in London, England. He's the Mogadorian that killed me four years ago.
Max's POV:
Ivan and I sit silently for a few minutes, just sitting down.
After a few minutes, Ivan speaks up. "Your friend Annabeth keeps looking at me." I look at him and he nods his head towards Annabeth. I glance at her and she's glaring suspiciously at Ivan. When she notices me looking at her she quickly looks away and heads towards Piper. I quickly realize that she's not the only one- Leo is headed towards Piper, too. I furrow my eyebrows. A lot of people want to talk to Piper lately.
I look back at Ivan and he's smiling at me. My heart beats rapidly and I smile back at him. I can feel a blush forming on my cheeks so I quickly tear my eyes away from Ivan and they land on Reyna, who's talking to Frank and Hazel.
"I'm going to go talk to Reyna. I'll be right back," I tell Ivan, who nods his head. I get up and walk over to Reyna for a distraction and I get a few glances from the people around me. For what, I'm not sure. I just ignore them.
I stop in front of Reyna and smile at her. "Hey," I call out to her. She looks at me and smiles.
"Hey, Max, I've been meaning to ask you something. You mind?" Reyna asks me, gesturing towards the woods next to us.
