It was 3pm on the 12th December, and Inayah was making her way home before she was pushed by a couple of very familiar hands.

"So you excited for tonight then? I wonder what you'll wear" said Samiya, with excitement in her tone and a massive grin on her face. Her and Inayah had been best friends for as long as she could remember. The thing about them though, was that although they were inseparable they had very different thoughts regarding life. But somehow this friendship worked out great.

"You can't just creep up on me like that!!!!" Inayah said hitting Samiya with her book, almost shook.

"Hahah, it's always great, you never doubt it for a second. You fall every single time."

The both of them giggled and continued to walk towards Inayah's house.

They walked in silence for a few minutes until Inayah noticed Samiya staring at her as though she was still waiting for a response.

"If it's meant to be, then I'll gladly accept it. But you're not going home until you help me look presentable!" Inayah said with a smirk growing on her plump looking lips.

"The pleasure is allll mine" Samiya said pulling Inayah into the gates of her front garden.

Inayah's POV:

What is with me today? Why do I feel so different? I mean it's not the first time I've had a potential come over. Why did it feel so right this time? I felt like I had to actually make an effort. Almost as though Allah had planted this feeling in me so that I know it's the one. Wow. "The one". I've never thought of it like that. Great. Now I'm even more nervous.

I came into my bedroom and chucked myself onto my bed.
"I'll leave the outfit picking up to you. Since you know more than me." I said to Samiya as she had already started going through my clothes and making a huge pile of "definitely no's" and "maybe's".

"Ahhgggsggsgshsh!" She screamed with excitement. I almost instantly shot my head up and all I could see was her holding up an elegant dress with embroidery on the neck and arm. God, she was so enthusiastic, but that's why I loved her.

"This!!! This is the one Inayah. Oh my, I can just imagine you walking in with this on and him not being able to keep his eyes off you.." I coughed and stopped her in her imaginative tracks, just in time as we heard a knock on my bedroom door. It was my mother.

"Looks like someone's more excited than you Inayah." She chuckled. "They'll be here in less than an hour so get a move on mrs!"

"Yes Sir!" I responded whilst giggling.

Oh God. I was so giggly. What on earth is up with me!!

An hour later:

I was sat on the edge of my bed, shying away as expected of me. I then heard my name being called faintly. It was a voice I hadn't heard before. But why did it seem so familiar?

I got up and made my way to towards the stairs. And there he was stood. Oh wow. He was the same height as me. He had light brown eyes and short combed back hair. Okay stop. Why was I paying so much attention to his looks?

What was this feeling? I almost felt as though my heart had been craving this unity. But I wasn't the only one staring. He was looking right into my eyes as though he felt the same way.
I coughed and looked down and before I could speak, he said: "Er.. I'm, I mean, my name.. my name.. is Musa." Oh wow, he was as equally shy as I was. But my gosh, how beautifully his voice had echoed.
