???'s POV

I walk around clearly avoiding a woman who doesn't leave me alone. Her friends know about her..um..passion to try and date me. I thanked her friends silently as I walked away.

"Avoiding the bitch again, Jason? You're pretty popular with the ladies." I glared at my friend as I walked up to him guarding the gates.

"Very funny, Kanes. Is Ke dead yet? He'll get dragged off again with the women again if he keeps sleeping." I said as Ke glares at me.

"I'm not dead, you ass. Shut up already." Ke said as he looks over.

"Here ye! Here ye! My father, the king, has declared that The Forest is now Forbidden to enter! Those who do will be arrested and kill! This is now a law by His Majesty!" The Prince yells as people began yelling.

"He can't do that! That's the only trade route we have to get to the next town for trading!" Kanes said.

"The bastard just did, you dumbass." Ke said as I hummed.

"Oh no. He's doing it again. Jason? Please don't tell me you're going into the forest?!" Kanes said as I looked at my friends.

"You are. Aren't you?" Ke asked.

"Jason! You can't be serious. You can get arrested or worse kill if you go!" Kanes said and I waved him off.

"Kanes. You know he'll just go anyways. We all know the forest is "dangerous". You know we never believe it. If anything happens, the forest is the only safe place we have to go." Ke said and Kanes sighed knowing he's right.

"Fine. Just go at night. We'll be watching like we always have." Kanes said and I grinned. I patted him on the back.

"Thanks, Kanes." I said.

"Jason! Where are you?!" The bitch yells.

""That's my leave. Bye, guys!" I said as I sneaked or ran through the crowds. Everyone here helps me get away the woman. They all don't like her which I'm grateful for.

"Jason, my boy! Would you like fruit?! Hand-picked and ripe!" Mr. Dotting said.

"Maybe later, I will. Thanks for asking!" I said as I walked by.

"Jason! How about some homemade bread? Fresh out the oven!" Miss Hunlin said and I walked over.

"I would love to, but the "she" is looking for me." I said and Miss Hunlin laughs as she shoo me away. I laughed and walked away. I continued through town stopping to talk to the people who were buying and people who were selling.

I love this town for as long as I can remember. I don't remember my mom or dad, but I heard from the villagers that they were good and hard working people. They worked just for me to have a house over my head.

I head back to my home and looked around once I closed the door. This house belongs to my parent before they died. I kept it clean. A knock on my came and I opened it. A big and short stood there at my door. Most people would have to think twice. Different races come to La'hy to trade, rest, or talk before leaving. There are Elves (skilled archers), Dwarves (skilled blacksmiths), Moonians (Elves who lived in the dark), Hobbits (short, elf like dwarves who don't stay in one place), Orcs (they don't like other races), and Humans (like me).

"You're supposed to be at the shop helping me make weapons." Mr. Derk said. Mr. Derk was a family friend and he's a Dwarf.

"Sorry. The bitch was out today. I'm coming." I said and Mr. Derk laughs as I walk with him to his shop.

"Alright. I'll let you off for now." Mr. Derk said as I sigh in relief. I'm been trying my best to improve and beat him in contests that we have every year.

"This year's contest, I will beat you!" I said and Mr. Derk chuckles.

"We'll see, boy. You still have a long way to go." Mr. Derk said and I smiled.

Tonight! Tonight, I'm going to.

That now forbidden forest.

Forbidden by law.

Loved by the people.

Home to many creatures.

My one escape to freedom.
