Jason's POV

"Why are you following me again?" I asked looking back at Kanes as I opened his back door. Ke stayed behind at the gates since Kanes has a the rest of the days off. By that, I mean, he was kicked off from being a guard.

"Because my house is the only one build with the wall! Now, come on! Let's go!" Kanes hissed at me and I walked out of his back door and on grass.

"You just want to see the princess." I hissed back and Kanes rolled his eyes.

"Don't care. Now, move!" Kanes said and pushed me out of the way to lock his back door. Gee. Thanks. I rolled my eyes as I lead him into the forest. Kanes kept looking around as he stayed closed to me. I heard the arrow and pushed Kanes back a bit as the arrow hits the tree between us.

"You know. I'm starting to think that you want me to get killed, Princess."  I said as she scoffs, jumping down from a tree.

"And I'm starting to think that you're not human." Midnight said as she puts her bow on her back. I walked away as Kanes runs to catch up with me.

"And who is this? A friend of yours?" Midnight asked as she glares at him.

"This is Kanes. Ex-guard and yes. A friend of mine." I said as Midnight nods and Kanes leans close to her face. Midnight glares harder at him.

"Wow. You have two beautiful pair of rubies! Such a pretty gem." Kanes said as he stares at Midnight's eyes and she made a noise as she blinks. A light blush spreads across her nose and cheeks and looks away.

"He can stay." Midnight said and jumps back away from Kanes. I smirked in my head. This is gonna be good. I noticed the beauty there and walked ahead.

"Hello there, my beautiful flower." I said as she huffs, looking away. I laughed at the cute pout she did.

"I'm sorry! Ok? You're adorable when you're mad, Sarah." I said chuckled. Sarah turns away from me and walks into the water. She knows I can't go into the water cause it burns me.

"Ignore the jackass here. He's too stupid for his own good." Kanes said and I glared at him and he smiles.

"Go fuck yourself." I growled and he just smiles and then waves at me. Midnight tensed and pushed Kanes into a bush and did the same to me. We were shush by her as we heard voices. I looked around as we stayed completely still.

"Halt! You humans are not allowed in this forest!" Midnight yells as she had her bow drawn back. Sarah leans on her right leg as she plays with a strand of hair. A few guards came into my sight as well as another person walked up. My eyes widen and I turned my face a bit to Kanes.

"The Prince?! What the hell is he doing here?!" I mouthed to him and he shook his head quickly without making a sound.

"I don't fucking know!" Kanes mouthed back and I shifted my eyes back to the prince.

"I'm not here to deal with you, Princess. I'm here for that beautiful maiden behind you. Fairest maiden. Would you come back with me to my castle so father may speak with you?" The Prince asked and I clenched my fists. Like hell you are! You going to try to have her as your servant so they disobey your orders!

"How dare you speak to her!" Midnight yelled at him as the guards went on defense. The beauty walked over to Midnight and placed her hand on her arm making her lower the loaded bow.

"I will go with you, bit only to see the king." The beauty said.

"To see the king, you say. Then I'll go with you." I froze when I heard that voice. I know that voice somewhere. But where? I looked around and a woman with long white hair and sharp silver eyes. The Prince looks at her and huffs.

"Fine. You can come too." The Prince said and the woman laughs.

"Oh? I wasn't asking you." The woman said as she turns to the beauty. The beauty nods and walks past the Prince. The woman walks passed the Prince bumping her shoulder to his as the guards moved out of the way. They know something about that woman. The Prince scoffs and follows them with his guards.

"You two go home. Now. Wait for me! I'm coming too!" Midnight  said running after them. I looked at Kanes and he shurgs. I rolled my eyes at him and lead him out of the forest. I hope she's okay. We walked out of the forest and to my house.

"What the hell?" Kanes said confused as there was grass, flowers, vines, and trees in the town. There's still a big road for carriages and horses.

"Did you see her? Oh, my. Is she beautiful?!" A woman asked as the other nodded.

"Yes she is. She reminds me of her mother. Such a great woman she is." The other woman said as they walked by. What the hell is going? I know this is The Village of Secrets, but what's going on about the beauty? Everyone seems to know her somehow. Did the beauty lived here before? Or is it something else.....I wonder.
