Alex was getting better and I was looking forward to prom tonight. I already picked out a dress with Judy the other day, but I was still worried about Alex.

'Baby, I'm going tonight. There's no way I'm letting you go to prom alone.' Alex said while he got his suite out and hanged it on his closet door.

'You're really sweet but if you're not feeling well, you shouldn't go. I really don't mind staying home with you.' I said, turning him around so he was facing me.

'I'm fine. Really.' He said and kissed my forehead. I looked at him and I knew he still didn't feel alright but I also knew he would keep arguing.

'Okay, but if you don't feel well, you're going straight home with me.' I said and hugged him. 'Now, get ready. I still have to get dressed too.'

I finished up my hair and took a deep breath, looking at myself in the mirror. I wore a green gown that matched my eyes perfectly and smiled. I just wish he could see me.

I turned around, grabbed my bag and went downstairs to meet Alex and Judy, who had the camera, at the bottom of the stairs.

'You look absolutely stunning, sweety.' Judy said, smiling big. 'Now come, get ready for photos.' She said and made us stand together.

Alex put his arm around my waist, holding me close as we smiled for the camera.

After about 10 photos, I stopped Judy. 'We better get going or we'll be late.' I said and Alex nodded.

'Okay, be safe you two.' Judy said, giving us one final hug before she let us go out the door.

I lead Alex to the car and when I got to his door, he stopped me. 'I have something for you.' He said and pulled a flower out of his jacket.

'Aww, thanks. It's beautiful.' I said as I let him pin it on the front of my dress.

'Not as beautiful as you, though.' He said as he gave my nose a kiss before he climbed into the car.

I smiled and went to the driver's side and climbed in. 'Let's go.' I said, starting the car and driving us to the school.

Once there we got out of the car and started making our way to the school hall. I held Alex's hand and lead him as we got stares from the people standing around outside.

But I ignored them and we reached the hall, going inside and walked to our table. 'Would you like something to drink?' The waiter asked us.

'Two sodas please.' Alex said and sent him on his way. I looked at him beside me, still holding his hand.

'Would you like to dance?' I asked him once our drinks came and the songs played in the background.

'I can't, Liz.' He said almost softly and I stood up.

'Yes you can, come on. Please, baby?' I pleaded and he lifted his head up to me.

'Baby, if I mess up one time, I'm going to stop.' He said and stood up.

'Yay, thanks, my love.' I said and lead him to the dancefloor. People eyed us as I put his hands on my waist and I put my hands on his shoulders. 'Just sway.'

He followed me as I began swaying along to the rhythm of the music. After a while, I put my head against his chest as we continued dancing.

But the happiness stopped as Alex collapsed in my arms. 'Alex!' I yelled out as I tried to hold him up.

People around us gasped and a guy came to help me lower Alex to the ground. I grabbed his face in my hands and tried to shake him awake but he was out cold.
