Chapter 2

I look back up at him and he smiles. "Are you okay that was quite something at dinner." I blush and look down at my feet "yeah I'm fine sir. I'm sorry for causing a scene not a great way to make a first impression." I say I lift my head and meet his eyes " it's fine it really is. I'm just glad that you calmed down before I had to step in." I nod and look him up in down he wears a black suit with a white button up shirt and a black tie. He smiles and continues "I'm going to walk with you back to your room is that okay", I blush "I would love you to". We walk down the hall and I stop at my door and pull out my card to get in it's kinda like a hotel here except his room doesn't have a card it has a key. I try a couple times but the locks just hate me "here let me", he says and takes the card out of my hand and swipes it I hear a click and push the door open. "Thank you sir it was an honour to meet you," I say, then it's his turn to speak "what's your name." I smile and reply " My names May", he nods "call me Colton" I nod then bow and slip into my room.

I get changed and think about my run in with the King, the only reason were here is so that he can see if his mate attends our school. I really hope it isn't a slut who throws her self at every guy because he's really sweet and deserves better than that. I strip out of my clothes and in to a pair of sweats then I curl up and go to bed.

I woke up the next morning and breathed in I walked over to bathroom and showered then I did everything I had to do I then walked back into my room. I pulled on black leggings and a light light pink tee shirt with a pair of black converse. I applied light make up and some eyeliner then grabbed my phone and purse and left the room. I went down the stairs and into the dining room I sat down beside Mia and we ate in silence. The King did not show up because today he will see if any of us is his mate. He'll walk into the room and his mates smell will be really powerful then he'll go over to her and touch her to make sure it's her then love and care for her. When we finally finished all the girls went into a separate room and stood in a line waiting....waiting.....waiting. Two guards stepped in and then he walked in, he inhaled and smiled then walked around looking for her scent. He finally stopped two steps away from me and turned to me, I was watching him and he smiled. Then I smelt the most amazing thing filled my nose and I couldn't get enough. He stepped towards me and I bowed "Mr.Alpha King" I said and then I lifted my hand. My heart was pounding so hard I felt like it was going to explode out of my chest. He took my hand and I felt the shocks "Mate" he growled "mate" I whispered. I heard gasps then talking he smiled "well May were mates anything to say", he asked. I nodded "I think I need to lay down" then as if on command he pulls me out of the room. He picks me up carries me up the stairs I hear a door creak open and then I feel a soft surface. A thousand things were running through my head but the one that really got to me was I'm Queen what was I going to do.

I woke up several hours later and looked around I wasn't in my room. I started panicking ,I slid off the bed and slowly crept to the door. I made my way there and opened the door quietly then I shut it behind me. I creep down the hall and burst into my room, why was I in someone else's room. I quickly threw on a red sweater and run out of my room I looked at my watch and cursed I was meeting Mia at her room in two minutes. I ran down the hall and knocked she opened the door and smiled, as we walked down the staircase. We walled out the front doors and towards our favourite teacher Mr.Parker he smiled at us and opened his car door allowing us to climb in. "Hey baby", Mia said as she pecked his lips I know what your thinking that's disgusting but their mates so it's totally normal and he's only twenty two so there not a big age difference. " hey Ricky" I chirped and hugged him "Hi May" he said and I smiled and climbed in the back Mia following suit then Rick started the car and we pulled out going towards the stores. He parked and unlocked the doors and we ran into the first store. We tried on a bunch of dresses well Rick told us if they were good or not. Finally I decided on a rosy pink dress with diamonds all over the bodice and Mia chose a puffy black dress with diamonds sown into the tulle. We both bought black masks for the masquerade ball that the King was holding. We walked out and my phone rung, "I'll catch up I gotta take this call", they nodded and went into the next store.

"Hello." I asked then some one growled on the other end "where are you", they sounded mad "umm, who is this." I asked as walking into the store I shot Mia a look who was making out with rick. "It's me your mate Colton, where are you." I felt dumbfound I dropped my phone as realization hit me I thought that was just a dream not real. I quickly picked up the phone "I'm sorry sir, I didn't realize it was you. I'm out shopping with my best friend and our teacher", I said the sass out of my voice " what store are you in, and a teacher that's weird." I looked at them acting all cute and putting a bunch of colours into a bag for candy. "We're at a candy store downtown and he's my best friends mate so not really", I said "okay I'll be there in five doesn't move" he said then hung up.

I turned and walked over to them "who was that", Rick asked "that's was my mate Colton" I said and they nodded "awwww what did he want", Mia said well jumping up and down. "I cringed and said "he wanted to know where I was and said that he would be here soon". Just then I heard the door open and felt his presence as if on cue everyone bowed and spoke "King Alpha" when I lifted my head back up he was I front of me "you don't have to bow anymore since we are now equals", he said and smirked. I grabbed a bag off the wall and started putting the bright vibrant candy in my bag. Colton walked over to me and followed behind me doing the same thing and taking the same ones. I finished and went up to pay, I handed the girl a twenty and tucked the bag away then Colton paid for his. "I was going to pay you know" ,Colton said well smirking, I rolled my eyes and walked over to rick and Mia. I walked over to them and it was quite for awhile, but Ricky spoke up first "we should head back free times over" in unison Mia and I groaned "but Ricky we don't want to come on be cool", I said and smirked. He looked offended " come on I bought you guys beer I'm cool", I scoffed and Mia giggled and hugged him. Then we walked outside I walked over towards Ricky's car but someone grabbed my hand. I turned and looked into two brown eyes "please come with me", he said his eyes pleading I nodded and climbed in the passenger seat of his black Porsche. "We need to talk.." He says and pulls away from the curb.
