Chapter 11

I carried the tray back down to the kitchen and saw one of the wolves Colton had brought with him . He watched me I could sense it when I lowered the plates and cutlery into the sink. I looked up and glanced at the reflection in the window he was watching me our eyes meet and I looked down at the sink. I turned the tap on hot and let the water run, at that moment the doorbell rang kinda weird since we weren't at the castle. I turned off the tap and walked towards the door and unlocked it then opened it. "May!" A childish voice screamed I looked down and saw Becca standing at the door with another werewolf behind her. I swooped her into my arms and balanced her on my hip "does Colly know your here?" I ask her, she shakes her head causing her light brown curls to bounce around. I smile a sinister smile then look down at her, "Wanna surprise Colton?" She nods and wiggles around. I carry her up the stairs and slowly push the door open. I walk over to the bed and count to three in my head and as if on cue Becca launches on the the bed but Colton pushes her off wraps his hands around my waist and yanks me into the bed. I start laughing and so does Becca "What was that Colly" Becca says and climbs into the bed "Well hello there baby girl" Colton says and brings her to his chest. I sit there and watch the two of them, playing around and laughing. That's until Becca tells us that she has to go back home to her parents. "Well baby girl were going to miss you", Colton says. She wiggles towards me and hugs me "I leave in an hour" she says and hops off the bed. I look at Colton and smile "I have some work to do then I'll meet you in the backyard for lunch then we can head home", he says and slowly stands up and kisses my forehead leaving tingles from his lips. He smiles and closes the door behind him. I look at Becca and smile "wanna help me get ready" I ask she nods and runs over to the closet and starts picking clothes out. I sit down at the vanity and apply eyeliner, mascara and foundation. Becca runs out of the closet and holds up pretty white t-shire that reaches just above my knees with little white lace flowers sown on one side, and back leggings.I smile and slide them on, Becca helps me curl my hair before she has to leave. I hear a knock on the door signalling that it was time for Becca to leave I give her a hug and peck on the cheek before she runs down the staircase.

I wonder the halls towards the room one of the security wolves told me was Colton's office. I push the door open and step inside the black and gold room. Colton sits at his desk writing paperwork with glasses at the bridge of his nose. He's so focused on his work that he doesn't notice I'm there at first, he feels my presence and says "how many times do I have to tell you guys to knock before you enter my fucking office." He slams his hand down on the desk and looks up at me in shock. "Now I know why your titled the most feared ruthless and asshole king yet" he sends me a glare. "I didn't know it was you May," he says. I sit down in one of his chairs upside down and casually let my head hang over the bottom. "Eh" I say once I'm ready to answer him. He looks back down at his work and continues writing, well I hang off of the chair. I sigh and drop my arms so they hang above my head and touch the floor. I kick my combat boots together and lay there bored. Colton speaks up "that's annoying would you stop it please". "Well I'm bored so.... No" I say as I keep kicking my feet together. "May" his voice warns, "oh come on Colton, don't be a sourpuss I'm bored. But I guess I'll have to get one of the guys to entertain me." I say and hop off the chair and run out the door, I hear him shout my name but keep running I run down the giant staircase and make a sharp turn mad run straight into the library. I slam the door shut and lock it, I run over to the staircase and grab on of the air fresheners and spray my self so my scents gone I then run up the four stair cases to the top level of the library and run to the far corner away from both of the balconies and sit down behind this giant bookshelf. I feel like I'm playing a very serious game of hide and seek, but I'm probably gonna get in trouble by my big bad alpha king mate.

I looked around and saw a small door, I crawled over and pull the small door open. I crawl inside and find a spiral staircase, I run down it and see a door I pull it open and notice that it's part of the vine wall I close the door and take off towards the forest but stop dead in my tracks. I pull out my phone and press Colton's number, he picks up on the first ring. "Where the hell are you?!" He says clearly mad. I answer "Colton you need to come into the backyard now" I can hear his panic through the phone "I'll be there in a minute" I turn around and see him standing there "what's wrong-" he stops and smells the air I turn around and look at the forest again. Now I can see dozens of people with red eyes lining the forest border. "Vampires" Colton says "now the crown isn't safe" I said. "Are you kidding me I'm not safe no babe your not safe." I looked back and saw a girl with dark brown hair and goldfish redish eyes. "And there's the queen" I breathed.
