Alpha King

Chapter 5

I smile up at Colton and roll over climbing out of bed. "Where you going?" Colton asks "well it's twelve and I need to get ready for the masquerade ball before it starts at six." I tell him he nods and I leave. I unlock my door and hop in the shower.

I climb out and dry my hair I put on eyeliner and mascara with some red lipstick. I straighten my hair and put it half up half down. Finally I slipped on my rosy pink dress with diamonds sown into the bodice then I slipped on the silver heels. It took me forever to get ready and it was now five fifty five. I found my lace mask and stuck it over the area around my eyes. I smiled and put on a diamond necklace with matching studs. I heard a knock at my door and opened it. Ricky and Mia stood there Mia in her black dress with diamonds sown into the tulle and Ricky in a grey suit. "Ready beautiful?" Ricky asked and I nodded I grabbed onto his arm and we all walked down the staircase and towards the ball room.

After about forty minutes the music stops and the King walks on stage. I smile and look up at him he's wearing a black suit with a black tie and white shirt. He puts his hand up and everyone quiets he starts "hello and welcome to my annual ball. I have some exciting news for those of you who don't know yet, I have found my mate." There was a pause and cheering. "So if May Mount could make her way to the stage please." My breath catches in my throat did he really just call me up. I walk towards the stage and up the stairs, he holds out his hand for me and I take it. "This is my mate ,my future queen, and your future Luna." He finishes and there's more cheering. The music comes back on and he leads me off the stage as a thousand years comes on. He puts his arm around my waist and takes my hand. I place my hand on his shoulder and cup his hand. We start to dance along to the music.

A few hours later we hear that we all have to go back to our rooms to pack up for when we leave tomorrow. I go to leave but Colton follows me, I try to enter my room but instead he pulls me to his. "Colton I need to pack" I say and look up at him. "Your not leaving at least not right now. I can drive you home to get your stuff, then drive right back here." He says I nod and hug him, pushing my face into his chest. He laughs and wraps his arms around my waist. I yawn and he lifts me off the ground and sits me on the bed as my eyelids fall. He slides off my dress "lift your arms above your head" I do as he says and he slides one of his shirts over my body. I rub my eyes and lay back, Colton pushes the blankets out from under me and pulls them on top of me. He strips down to his boxers and then throws on a pair of plaid pyjama pants. He slides in next to me and I roll over pushing my self to his side, he wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my temple. I hear his heartbeat start to slow letting me know he's starting to fall asleep. I close my eyes and soon I'm sleeping in his arms.

I feel the bed shift and the covers slid off for a second, then there pulled back up. I snuggle closer into the bed. I slowly shift and become uncomfortable, I groan and kick the sheets off me. I walk towards the bathroom and hear the water running, I slowly open and close the door. I grab my toothbrush and toothpaste and brush my teeth. "May is that you?" I hear Colton ask, "yeah I'm just brushing my teeth". "Ok I'll be out soon", Colton says "ok". I finish and close the door to the bathroom.

I hear the water turn off and a few moments later Colton walks out in nothing but a towel showing off his abs. I blush and look down 'our mates so hot' I growl 'he's my mate I don't care if your bonded to him' I turn the mind link off and look back at him. He now stands in jeans and no shirt. I walk up behind him and wrap my arms around his waist burying my head in his back. "I've never seen you with out a suit on I like it", he puts his hands over mine and responds "I wanted a day off my duties and I wanted to spend time with my gorgeous mate." I smile and press a soft kiss to his back he shudders and turns around pressing his lips to my head. "Please put on a shirt Colton" I say my voice cracking he's making me weak since he's half naked. I let go and he walks back into his closet and pulls on a white tee shirt and a grey sweater. "You no longer look like a King" I say and he smiles walking out of the closet "you should go get ready". I nod and head into the bathroom turning on the shower and climb in.

I wrap a towel around me and head back into the bedroom, I look around and see that Colton has left the room. I pull on a pair of black leggings and a white flowy tank top with a grey sweater that I found on the bed. There was a note telling me to wear it so I am. I put on a pair of black vans and straighten my hair, I apply eyeliner and mascara then leave the room. I walk down the stairs and see all of my classmates standing in lines outside then I see Colton talking to some teachers. I walk out the doors and skip down the steps I make my way towards Mia who's standing with Anna and Tray. I stop and they all smile at me "so your not coming home huh" Mia asks I shake my head no and she pulls me into a hug and soon Anna and Tray are also hugging me I laugh. "Guys group hugs were never my thing" I choke out, I'm being squished like an ant under a boot. They release me and I turn to see Ricky standing beside Colton gesturing for me to come to him. I say goodbye to everyone and walk over to Ricky he has his arms open and I walk into them "I'm going to miss my favourite student and best friend" I giggle "I know you will I'm just that awesome". We pull apart and he smiles at me "be careful it's a big castle I would hate for you to get lost" I laugh "thanks Ricky", he shrugs and turns to Colton "hurt her and I'll kill you", Rick says to Colton. I turn to him and punch him in the shoulder and he turns to me "hurt Mia and I'll skin you alive" I say and giggle. He shrugs "by the way I would never hurt May if you to we're wondering" I smile at Colton and hug him "I know you won't". Ricky waves goodbye as everyone starts to board the buses, the buses screech away and I'm left here with my mate Colton. "So do you want to go to your parents house in about an hour", Colton says. I pale "SHIT! My parents". I say and turn to Colton "their a bit hmmm, clingy".
