Finally! Chapter 4! I've worked on so many chapters ahead of this one I procrastinated :3 SO SORRY. But I am currently working on a story on the side of this about werewolves (just incase it wasn't clear, this is not a werewolf book; there just happens to be a wolf in it...however that would make an awesome plot twist....any-who here's the new update. Not at all edited until probably next week. Comment and vote ;*

Chapter Four
Once I was awake, I saw the darkness under my eyelids. Something rough rubbed my cheek, leaving the skin wet. Sighing, I felt the warm air leave my chest, scattering across my lips. Opening my eyes, my hand raced to block the sunlight, that lightly filtered through the tree, from my vision. The animal next to me whimpered softly and turning to him, I met his dark face.
His nose was thick and long with light fur, that contrasted with the dark fur that faded above his yellow eyes. Speckles of blood littered the hair on his chest. My fingers grazed over his muzzle and I watched as the skin on his face slowly stitched itself back together. He closed his eyes and I continued to move my hand down, moving the the sticky fur.
My head was heavy, but I managed to prop myself up onto my elbow. Small stones dug into my arm, but I didn't mind. I was too focused on what was in front of me.
Knots covered his side and I was slightly afraid of getting my hand caught in them. His tail was still, but it wasn't down and definitely wasn't wagging. He looked too serious to ever be that happy, but I had after all, only known him for minutes...depending on how long I had been out.
Pulling my touch away, he growled. It wasn't an angry sound, but he sounded displeased. Causing me to freeze where I was, but after exchanging glances, he pressed to my palm. Dried tints of red covered my fingertips and painted over my nails. I cringed.
A slight buzzing ran through me. Something like an electric hum, moving to my chest and staying there. His muscles shook under my hand, but he stayed where he was. Too afraid to release him, I waited until he moved from me.
Moments later, he opened his closed eyes and let my hand fall from his back. Part of me wanted to wipe the blood on the grass and try to get it off my hand, but I felt like that would be offensive, even if he was only a dog.
"I'm Evelyn." I spoke softly. I didn't think he could understand me, but days ago I didn't think a wolf would be healing in front of me.
"I'll call you...." The name came to me in whispers. The whispers I had fought hearing for days. "...Argus." I whispered. Barely making a sound.
His ears perked up and he gave me a questioning glance.
"I need to keep moving." I said, remembering why I was here in the first place.
It had been a few days since I had first come to the forest and Argus had stayed with me. I found food wherever Sandra decided to leave it, but lately means were getting farther and farther apart. Argus, quickly gained my loyalty when he didn’t attack me as he was meant to and I felt like I gained his when I had helped him.
I wasn’t quite sure if I had healed him. I wanted to think he did on his own, but the electricity surging through my fingers when I touched him told me otherwise.
We walked in silence, the large dog trotting beside me. Our feet padded in sync and it had been silent until I heard laughing behind us. I looked down at Argus, but his ears stayed alert, while he never moved his eyes from ahead.
