Tabitha stormed out of the room, heated. She couldn't believe Caspar had lied to her, just for attention. But, at the same time, she was relieved. This meant she hadn't slept with him, meaning Lionel would no longer have a reason to be upset!
Tabitha ran into the kichen and grabbed a bowl and ladle. She got the gumbo and flew down the stairs to get the alcohol. Once she got all of the things she needed, she walked up to Lionel's door and knocked.
"...Go away..." He mumbled from within.
"I'm coming in." She said, rolling her eyes and entering the dark room. "Lionel..I'm here to help you with some of your bruises."
"I told you to go away..." He said, groaning.
"You need help. Some of your wounds are serious. They need immediate care." Tabitha said, inching closer.
"I'll take care of them myself." Lionel said, standing up and trying to walk away defiantly. Instead he tripped and began to limp with a laboured look on his face.
"Hey! Lionel, you gotta take it easy! You could have broken something!" She said, forcing him to sit down on his bed.
"And I said I'll take care of-"
"Why are you pushing me away?!" She screamed, furrowing her brow.
"Because I have to! This is necessary for my survival." Lionel explained, looking at the floor.
"But...Why?" She asked, frustrated.
"Because I love you, but you betrayed me. As much as I want to ignore this, it- I just can't." He said, mouth forming a straight line.
"But that's the thing! I didn't sleep with him! He lied to me...to hurt us both!" She explained, overjoyed.
"And how do I know you're not lying?" Lionel asked, skeptically.
"I'd tell you to ask Caspar, but he could decide to lie to you." Tabitha said, rolling her eyes.
"So, I just have to trust you, right?"" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
Well, yeah. Is there a problem?" She challenged, folding her arms.
"A bit...how do I know if you don't just want to know what werewolf and vampire sex is like. You COULD be trying for both...."
"Really, Lionel? Are you assuming I'm aspiring to be some sort of amatuer slut or something??" Tabitha asked, hurt.
"If the shoe just happens to fit-"
"I'll shove it up your ass." Tabitha shouted, slamming the gumbo and healing items on the table and walking towards the door.
"Wait, Tabitha." He said, cringing.
"What?" She asked, turning around.
"I hate gumbo." He said.
"Fuck you, Lionel." She said, opening the door with a pissed off attitude.
As she was storming out, she ran into her grandmother, who had been eavesdropping the whole time.
Tabitha opened her mouth to scream, but nothing came out. Emotion clung to her throat and instead of talking, she ran away, tears brimming in her eyes.
