Aaron stumbled through The Blooded Wood, with a clouded mind. He knew he needed to get back to his car, but his wolf was telling him to turn around and attack the vampire clan while they were still oblivious.
“We can take them by surprise. They’ll never expect us.” It spoke within his mind, snarling.
“And….what about….Anna?” He asked, breathless and he mindlessly trudged on.
“Anna has taken care of herself thus far, what’s going to be different about another…40 minutes, tops?”
Just as Aaron was contemplating turning around and complying with the wolf’s wishes, Anna appeared from behind a tree, quietly.
“A-aaron?? A-are you okay? You look si-“
“I thought I told you to stay in the car,” Aaron said darkly, behind hooded eyes. “Can’t have a bitch that doesn’t listen now can I?” He said, rubbing his nose with the back of his hand.
“Aaron? What the fuck is wrong with you? You don’t call me a bitch, alright? Have you forgotten who I a-“
Aaron slapped Anna, quick as lightning and with all his force, knocking her to the ground.
“So you’re cursing at me? You think you’re allowed to undermine my authority like that, bitch?! HUH?!” He screamed, slapping her while she was down.
“aaron…this isn’t you…” Anna whispered, wiping the blood from the corners of her mouth and licking her lips slowly.
“And who is me, Anna? Huh? Do you even know?” He asked, bitterly.
“No,” She spat, looking him up and down. “I don’t think I do.” With that, Anna got up and wiped more of the blood that was dripping down her mouth.
“Yeah, you better leave.” He dared, smirking at her.
“Oh no, I’m not leaving you. I’m taking you home. I know this is just your wolf talking, because you’d NEVER disrespect me like this.. Something happened in the woods today, and when you’re okay enough to talk about it, I want to know what it is,” She said, hugging him. “I can help you, okay? You know that. Now, come on, stupid.” She pushed him out of the woods and into the car.
Anna took the keys out of his pocket and got into the driver’s seat, turning the ignition and driving off. When they were far enough away, she instinctively looked over at Aaron and smiled, but was surprised to find him a sweaty mess.
“I’m so hot, babe…” He whispered, looking drained. He was a shadow form of himself, looking nothing like he normally did. Nervously, she pulled her phone out of her pocket and dialed Lionel’s number. It rung a couple of times, making Anna even more nervous. After the 4th ring, he picked up.
“Hell-“
“Your brother’s in bad shape. I don’t know what he did, but he did something bad and is now hot and sweaty and has dark circles under his eyes. He looks so drained. H-he can’t die….i-i-is he going to die???” She asked, sniffling and wiping the tears away. But as soon as she would wipe them away, there would be 3 more awaiting her.
“No, just calm down. Bring him here, maybe I have something I can use to fix the situation. Is it really that bad?” Lionel asked, slowly.
“Yes. He doesn’t look anything like himself. He’s sick.” She said, looking repeatedly over at him. “Should I take him to the hospital?”
“NO, you can’t do tha-“
“But, he needs hel-“
“And if you bring him into the hospital, what are you going to tell them when they take blood samples? You’re going to tell him he’s a werewolf?? No, just bring him to me and I’ll do what I can.
