Well, it's been 11 months since the last update. You're welcome guys. I had this as a draft and forgot to finish it... Well, here you go!
Brendan's P.O.V.
I sprinted down the corridor to the barracks and kicked a row of swords aside.
Bingo.
There was an unlocked door, the lock had been crushed and the wooden door was slightly open.Intrigued, I went through the door and saw a row of powerful weapons.
In the center was my sword, err...
Sylus's sword.I grabbed it, and it burst into familiar orange flames.
"Well well~" Dark Link cooed, standing behind me."...Don't get in my way!" I shouted on reflex, swinging my blade at him.
He repelled my attack with his own sword, smirking widely.
"Princy, I'm not getting in your way....today, at least. I'd rather have Ganon dead, anyways." the dark warrior smiled, pushing my sword out of the way with ease.I glared at him, I didn't have time for this guy, so I walked past him slowly, he stood there calmly; raising his hands to signal he was surrendering.
I gave him one last glare then dashed out of the weaponry room.
I passed the side of the castle, I never notice the surface had such a dark gloom before.
I could somewhat make out small little rows of codes that formed the massive castle. What could that be?
Never mind that, I could hear tons of people's voices, and the sounds of swords clanging against each other.
I turned the corner and saw tons of warriors fighting creatures spewing dark sludge. They had eyes that glowed yellow and a bubbly shape.
What was happening here? Was Ganon having a war while I was lounging on the couch?
I shifted to my gaze to a teenager about my age..maybe older with dark blue hair and matching knight armor.
Immediately, I spotted one of the dark-looking creature sneaking up on the warrior.
"Watch out!!!" a boy squeaked, jumping into the battle as he landed on the creature, piercing it's back. The monster roared in pain, then began to dissipate into nothing. I looked at the boy, slowly I saw his face. That's when my eyes widened and I dropped my sword.
"Flynn!" I shouted, dashing at the boy. He looked up then immediately he came, a huge grin on his face. I hugged him tightly, as I asked him what he was doing here.
"Rescuing you, dummy!" Flynn said happily.
I couldn't stop smiling, Dark Link was lying about my brother hating me. Seeing my brother was the happiest moment I could ask for.Although an annoying voice interrupted me, "Brendan. It seems some people have invaded. Take them down, and I won't harm your father."
Flynn looked worriedly at me then glanced at Ganon, "He has your dad?"
I was silent until I couldn't keep it in anymore. I laughed quietly, reaching for my sword then slowly stood up to face the evil man. I pointed it at his neck. "Damn man, you think that ROBOT will trick me?" I said, my mind was fuzzy but I felt the killing intent inside my heart grow stronger.
Ganon's eyes widened as he backed away, "Brendan... I do have your dad." Ganon said.
I snickered, "Lying through your own teeth, old man?"Ganon backed up, reaching for his gauntlet, but I was quick and kicked him to the ground, his armor clanging against the stone grounds.
I was about to plunge my sword deep into his chest, when I felt an arm tug at me. It was Flynn. "Brendan... don't kill him. You sound like a villain too..." he mumbled, his eyes looked terribly worried.
I stared down at him, realizing what I had said and how I was acting. Ganon smiled, "Such a good boy you are. Thank you for giving me time to escape." he said lightly, his voice becoming fainter.
I didn't turn around to see where he had gone, I just reflected on my actions. I looked at the castle and saw my reflection, my original amber eyes were swirled with an intense red. I backed up at my own image, I looked crazy. "Flynn... Let's go home... Before I go insane..."
The young boy smiled and began to respond, "Yes! Sir-"
I noticed an arrow, piercing the young boy's side, his eyes widened as he collapsed to the ground.
"FLYNN!" I shouted, looking at the boy. My brother smiled, "It's okay, it didn't hit anything too vital..." he murmured, losing consciousness.
Marth and Ike ran up to us, Princess Zelda following from behind. "Are you Brendan?" she asked curiously. I nodded slowly, as Ike carefully picked up Flynn. Marth walked up to me and bowed, Zelda mimicked his actions as well. "Hello, Prince of Xarea. My name is Marth, I rule Altea." the prince stated, his body was stiff and formal.
I took my fist and bumped him on the shoulder, "Easy, dude. I'm just Brendan." I said, leaving the prince completely fazed. Marth scoffed, then lead me to the carts. Most of the enemies had been annihilated, and the soldiers were cheering rising their spears into the air.
I was starting to feel a bit more hopeful when Ike ran out of the medical station with a worried look on his face. He held out the arrow Flynn had been pierced with, "There's a note on it..." Ike said.
I remembered what happened to my little brother and I felt the rage resurface. "Give me it." I ordered through clenched teeth. Ike obeyed, it looked like he regret bringing out the arrow.
I unfolded the bloody paper and read what was written on it,
Brendan,
I didn't interfere with your battle against Ganon, but you didn't kill him.
Someone had to be killed in his place. That arrow is coated in a horrible poison that will kill your precious brother in 3 days. If you want to save him, rip the antidote only I possess right out of my hands.I'll be waiting.
Dark Link.I was so furious, I finally thought that bastard would leave me alone. I took the paper and ripped it up.
"May I borrow a horse." I asked, keeping my head down. Trying to control my anger, I looked down and took deep breaths. Marth ordered a soldier to fetch me a horse, and with a final farewell I took off on the horse.
