Chapter Twelve [Loss of Heart]

EDIT I should've realized when I put this chapter in my art book and the title said Untitled Part 1_ _ (some number in the hundreds) that I was in the wrong book. But i did not realize that until I published... Whoops. Here's the real update and not the aciidentaly GAME OVER chapter that I put in my art book (now delted)

Chapter 12 [Loss of Heart]

"Seto!" Adam barged into Seto's room down the hall. Seto jolted awake with a yell, it seemed that he had fallen asleep on his bed. A pile of book resting on his mattress toppled and fell to the floor.

Adam's face was flustered. Today was the day after Adam and Tyler's visit to the town of Evra.

"Dammit what!" Seto hissed, his hair was messy from sleep.

"Seto! Help! I just realized I don't have anything to contact Alesa with! Do you have something, anything?"

"What the fuck! This is what you barge in here for! What time is it!"

"Before sunrise."

Seto gave him a look that essentially says 'What the fuck.' Seto opened his mouth to say something, then shut it and got up. Seto grabbed his cloak and hood from a rack and moved towards Adam, simultaneously placing the cloak on. The next thing he grabbed was his staff before pushing Adam out the doorway.

"How long have you been awake?"

"Since me and Tyler arrived back."

"Notch, you are a fucking idiot," Adam and Seto arrived out into the main room. Seto combed his fingers through his messy hair and moved to his desk.

"Tell me you have something I can use?"

"Dammit! No! I don't care about your relationship problems! You've woken me up, so I might as well get some work done."

"But Seto! Please!"

"I don't give two bloody fucks!"

"But you must've been in love once, come on. Give me some advice, or something I can log into my Drive with."

Seto stopped working and turned to look at Adam, "Romantically, no. Caring for family..." Seto faltered and turned back to his desk, "I don't remember. My opinions on people are based on their value."

Adam didn't understand Seto's odd opinions, and he was going to ask when Seto interrupted his thoughts, "You know what...Out! Out! Get out! You've already ruined my night get out and let me work in peace!" Adam was magically thrown out of the cave out into the brisk, sunless morning. He screeched and tumbled across the ground. Adam glared back and grumbled before standing to his feet and making his way to the ravine edge.

He just needed some help.

Plenty of people were actually awake, the early risers mainly, he was definitely not one of them, but he was too anxious to sleep. He decided that maybe he could sneak into the kitchen. He was hungry anyways.

The kitchen building was somewhat hidden from sight, it was located behind Jason's lab. Probably on purpose to be in optimal reach for the young, brilliant but food crazy engineer.

There weren't any lights on in the kitchen, he guessed it was a bit too early, so if he was quick he could make a snack and be out of there before anyone was the wiser.
