Gone

Zer0 tumbled through the other side of the portal, leaving all she knew behind for the next four years. She could already feel tears prick her scarlet eyes and begin to leak out before she even opened her eyes. She took a deep breath and looked up. There was, essentially, nothing. There was white. That was it. There was no ground, there was no sky, there was nothing but white. It wasn't cold, it wasn't hot, it wasn't warm, it was nothing. It wasn't dry, yet it wasn't wet either. Just nothing. I felt a hot sensation burn up ger arm a she began to panic. Time to figure out how to create. She raised my open palm and imagined the ground. She imagined it as hills covered in green grass, with rich brown soil and small purple flowers popping up from the grass. The burning sesation in ger arm grew, and she closed my eyes. The burning in my arm got more intense and she focused on the image of ground in my mind. She finally opened my eyes to see if it was working. It was, sorta. She had grass and ground where she was standing, but that was it. She imagined the scene again, and began walking. Sure enough, the grass and hills grew where she stepped. Laughing slightly with relief that she had figured something out, she ran, creating the ground as she went. She made herself steep hills to climb up, flat stretches of ground to lay in, and even some small dips in the ground that would serve as shelter later on. After a while she crouched down, suddenly hungry. She focused on a seed, sprouting and driving it's strong roots into the ground as it grew. She squeezed my eyes shut as the burning sensation in her arm started up again. She imagined the tree growing, until she heard a groaning sound as the tree burst from the ground and shot up into the sky. It was then when she grew extremely tired, and realised she was sweating. She took a deep breath, and focused again. This time on the fruit that would grow. She imagined long, string like things dropping from the branches. At the ends of the string things would grow a clump of purple fruit, shaped almost like bananas. The strings in which the clumps were connected to started glowing as they pumped life into the fruit, pulsing with life. She smiled to herself when She opened her eyes, now surrounded by clumps of fruit dangling on vein-like strands of tree. She grabbed a fruit, tentavily taking a small bite. She imagined what it would taste like and sure enough, the strong taste of strawberry banana filled her mouth. The green leaves the tree started to wilt, and she realised I hadn't created the sky, or air yet. She didn't know how she survived up until now but suddenly found herself gasping for the air that wasn't there. She focused on the air, remembering what she had learned about it. She breathed in, finally able to draw in some precious air. The tree straitened up, reviving as it gained air.

"I'm gonna call this type of tree the Life Tree, because it reminded me that all life needs air. Even here." She stated to no one. Suddenly she felt extremely lonely, and began to cry. Horrid sobs racked her small frame, but there was no one to console her. She decided to sleep, but there was no moon or sun to tell what time it was. She created a small firery ball in her hands, growing it until it grew to big for her to handle and she threw it up into the sky, where it remained, warming the world and slowly sinking as time ticked by.

Several hours later, Zer0 was still crying softly. The sun finally went down and she created a moon, then another. She wanted two moons for her world, so the moon wouldn't be as lonely as her. Suddenly cold, she realised she hadn't built a shelter. No fear surrounded her body, for there were no animals to eat her or harm her. She decided to build a shelter anyway. She raised her hand and started walking, creating a staircase made of woven wood as she climbed. She created a grand room, made out of woven wood. In the center she marked it with a symbol, two hands holding objects. The first hand held a ball of fire much like the sun in this world, the second hand held two moons. She places a giant window in the corner of the room, and continued creating until she had a giant castle made of wood. She was warmer now, and not as lonely as before. She made a small bedframe, creating a small blanket out of delecate flowers and a matress out of scratchy wheat grass, and fell under the covers.

"Goodnight, Oblivion." She said softly, not realising she had just named her universe. She turned over and fell into a deep sleep.

Gerard P.O.V

I tumbled through the other side, landing in nothing. Quickly I started creating. I made mountains and hills and the sky and trees. How I knew how to create already? Zer0s sister had told me. It was strictly against the rules, but we didn't care. It was essential if we wanted our plan to succeed. I made rivers and lakes, and finally an ocean breaking the land in half. I created a sun, and a moon, both normal sizes like at home. I laughed as I thought about my back sprouting wings. They hadn't realised I could modify myself, also. Two huge jet black wings broke out of my back, spraying blood and flesh everywhere as I cried out in pain. I soon recovered, and flew into the sky. I created as I went. A few flowers here, a tree there, a forest over here, a jungle, a safari, feilds, swamps, places were snow lay thick on the ground, places where the sun baked the ground with it's intense heat. Once I was far enough away from the spawn point of the portal, I landed not so gracefully in the middle of a forest. I wasted no time in creating a huge palace, with thick walls surrounding it for protection. I walked through my black stone palace, pleased with my work. Soon I decided to sleep, and created a small bed and soon fell asleep.
