A few days later...

"Niall, I think I've got to quit my job." He quickly turned around and there was food in his hands. "Why babe, what's the matter?" He came to sit next to me and put his food aside. "Here's the thing, I don't know if she'll get better..the doctor said she was dying, and right! I forgot, I need more information on that hospital. It's where Katrine was born, Liam had all his surgeries and that was Brooke's home for the past years. I need to find everything that has happened, Brooke advised me about some of the things that they did. Did I mention, one of the old men doctors was hitting on her? You'll help me through this, right Niall? I mean, I'm so sorry babe! I can't really deal with this right now and I'm giving you so much work, you're taking care of the kids, doing the cleaning in the house..it's all the things I'm supposed to be doing. I love you and I'm so sorry, I didn't want you to get involved in th.." he cut me off right away, "Liam James Payne means more to me than you would ever know babe, of course I'd do anything to help you. I may not have told you before, but Liam told me that his only wish was for the surgery to be successful and the best thing that happened to him was Brooke, we promised each other that if any of us ever leaves, we'll always be there for each other and stick as a family, come together as one. Liam may not be here anymore, but we're lucky enough to have a piece of him left, Katrine is just like his father." I thought about he just said then I saw Brooke right behind Niall with tears in her eyes, she came forward and gave him a big hug. "Hi Brooke, it's okay, don't cry. Just remember that he isn't gone. Here I'll show you; take your hands, touch your heart. There he is, forever and always in your heart. That's the closest he'll ever be and always was." Brooke was suddenly smiling again. She wrote a little note saying thanks for making her feel better. I looked at him all happy also. 

A few hours later..

"Ready to go?" Niall and I left the house after Brooke went to bed and the babysitter came. When we arrived, we had to wait for about 15 minutes before we met the doctor. Meanwhile, I asked them if I could see my sister and Liam's information booklet that they had kept. The receptionist gave it to me. "I'll take Liam's" said Niall. "Hey babe, check this out...his last surgery was April 5, then after they didn't even write his death or anything. What's the crazy nurse's name again?" "Uh Sunny Sunburn or something, yeah it's some weird name." "Look!" he handed me the file and I went through it; ^_^ Liam James Payne, 19 years old, One Kidney, Latest Surgery was June 24. Survivor. ^_^ "Wasn't it April though? And they told us he died in April, so how can he have a surgery in June, what is going on...?" "I don't know but I'm about to find out."
