Chapter 2
War

Violet stares out the window with her jaw clenched and her hands resting behind her back. Tonight was a full moon and she could feel the affects. She couldn't believe her child that bore the mark of an alpha did not want to be alpha.

Such a disgrace. She thinks.

"That is our daughter you're speaking of." Chloe appears behind her. Violet growls annoyed. She wanted to deal with this news alone.

Violet spins around with fury. "We spoiled her. She's ungrateful and now she wishes to just parade around like a child. This is her future she's speaking about."

"She's avoiding being slaughtered in front of her family and hunted by human hunters." Chloe speaks.

Violet frowns, "I thought we didn't speak of the past." She growls.

"This morning you were all about Silver taking advantage of being a normal teenager and now she's a disgrace because she doesn't want to become alpha. That is her decision. It may change and it may not but either way you're going to have to deal with her final decision, Violet." Chloe seethes. "Don't you dare abandon her feelings, wishes, and wants. She's your daughter for Christ Sakes."

Violet watches Chloe storms out of her office while slamming the door behind her. Violet growls and flips over the desk in anger. She begins to pace back and forth before telling herself. "Get it together."

She stares out the window and the loud howling from the woods catches her attention. Her eyes rapidly turns into a bright violet color before she's opening the window and jumping from the top floor. She lands on her two feet and the pack comes rushing out of the home behind her already ready for battle. That howl was a warning signal. Whatever was going on was bad. Chloe steps out the house last and she and Violet make eye contact before they all is rushing towards the woods.

Olivia orders the team to hurry and get all the evidence and the body to the lab. She then walks deeper into the forest. "Olivia. Wait. We should wait for backup." The blonde wolf roll her eyes and look up noticing the full moon. It was dangerous to be out in these woods so late at night. Another explosion happens before her eyes and Olivia looks up in shock and confusion. The explosion is coming from the center of town. She growls and orders, "Head back to town now. They are going to need all of the help."

"But, what about--

"Now!" Olivia sneers.

The young human boy eyes widen but he soons listen and gets into the squad car before speeding towards town. Olivia sprints out into the woods and transform until she's on all fours.

As she runs she could hear someone closing in on her. However, they weren't as fast as she. She continues to run, pretending she doesn't notice them. A couple of miles ahead and she makes a deep left before picking up speed and jumping over a hill and attacking one of the soldiers. Her teeth buries itself into his shoulder and he cries out in pain. She tosses him towards a tree and growls before howling towards the moon.

She pounces on him and he yells in fear. Olivia could hear more men coming. She bites his upper thigh, blood sprouting everywhere and he passes out from the unbearable pain. Olivia leaves him and rushes towards the cabin.

Silver groans and her body aches in pain. She was lying on the ground naked and Harley and Cassa was passed out next to her. She turns around and notices the force field still circled around them. Silver was amazed and when she reaches out to touch it she immediately pulls back at it's sharp electricity. She was curious to know how Cassa was controlling this while passed out.
