The next morning...

You awoke from your long slumber with the ear-piercing shriek coming from your alarm. It surprised you so much that you actually smashed it with your fist.

"Dang it!" You whispered to yourself before gradually getting out of bed. This was the fifth time this year you had smashed something with just one punch and you honestly regretted it.

Luckily you knew the time before you smashed the alarm. 7:20. You still had a bit of time to prepare yourself for your day at school so that's exactly what you did next.

It took you 10 minutes to get fully dressed so you walked over to the mirror. You stared at your reflection for a bit and smiled, twirling a little bit in your dress which was exactly the same as the one you wore yesterday.

"Time to go!" You thought to yourself, walking outside and locking your door. You had only taken a few steps before you saw Maka. She was hitting her weapon (who you found out was called Soul) with what looked to be a thick book.

You felt quite nervous about chatting with people you had only just met but you pulled yourself together by yelling "Maka!" and waving at her. She waved back and walked over to you.

"Hi, (Y/N)! How are you?" Maka asked cheerfully.

"I'm okay... Apart from the fact that I smashed my alarm with one punch." You explained to her with a small amount of anger in your tone as you reached the last few words.

Maka giggled a bit. "Wow, you must be having some intense training, then!"

"I don't have training... I'm just naturally talented in fighting I guess..." You explained.

You were always a fighter, even when you were very young. You always had the ability to smash things with just one punch and you hated it. You were never sure why though. You were tested many times by several doctors but nobody knew what caused it. You thought that you just had strong muscles which you actually found quite cool but incredibly annoying. However it was much more complicated than that. There were several health complications with it such as constant agonising pain in your wrists and severe headaches at the worst times. You didn't want anyone finding out about it because you were scared of what they would think of you. The only thing you knew about it was that it was passed down from your dad's side of the family and it skips generations, but not yours. You didn't tell any of your friends about it, but you remembered the story of how your old best friend found out about it...

You shook the memory off as Maka began talking again.

"Maybe you're just naturally really strong." Maka suggested. You anxiously nodded, not wanting her to find out your secret.

"I have to leave now... Bye!" You wanted to leave before Maka could ask you any more questions. "See you in class!"

"Oh... Bye..." Maka looked at you whilst you walked off.

You got your phone out of your pocket and checked the time. Exactly 8AM. You remembered that you needed to meet Kid at precisely 8AM so you ran for the remainder of the journey and got there just in time.

"Hello, (Y/N)!" Kid greeted you with a cheerful smile. He was near the steps of the academy.

"Hi, Kid!" You smiled brightly at him.

"Do you want to walk to class with me?" He asked you.

"Okay..." You answered, still smiling. You were suffering from pains in your wrists today but you tried to hide it from Kid. You were friends but you felt too anxious to let even him know anything.

"Are you okay?" He asked you with a concerned look on his face. You must have been worrying about your wrists for too long.

"Yeah... I'm fine..." You gave him a fake smile to hide the fact that you were worrying.

"Okay... If anything is troubling you just remember that you can talk to me. I'll be here for you if you need me." He told you. Your face lightly turned pink.

"Uhh... Okay!" You giggled nervously.

"I know we've barely even got to know each other but do you want to be my best friend?" Kid asked you.

You felt your cheeks burn. You never had a best friend before. Well, you did. Until she discovered your secret...

"I have to pull myself together!" You thought. Beads of sweat began forming on your forehead in many tiny droplets.

"(Y/N)? What's wrong?" Kid seemed worried about you.

"N-nothing..." You struggled to get out. Your headache started up so you held your head in your hands as if you were experiencing a brain freeze from ice cream.

(Told you that the headaches came at the worst times!...)

"(Y/N)?? Are you having a headache?" Kid kept worrying about you.

Since you were so overwhelmed by all this you began to have a panic attack (you also had anxiety but you were unsure whether this was caused by your mysterious illness or not). You couldn't stand up. You felt lightheaded and dizzy. Every sound, movement, sight was too much for you. You wanted to go back home. You felt yourself slipping deeper and deeper into unconsciousness until...

... Silence...
