Chapter 01: Name that came from one's death

"Do you like it?"

Her voice with calming tone standing with gently breeze of happiness radiating positive feeling to me, Rosetta the girl's name who is staring down at me. In a child's body I was in.

Memories, the one I seeing now is the explanation to this, once I slept this remembrance suddenly appear that my hunch is my old memories that I disremember.

I felt a soft fabric in my small hands looking down a blue dress is in my grip, examining the dress it was design with a colorful calla lilies, carefully knitted just for my wearing. Tearfully eyes I look up to her, who I still don't know who she is in my life and what connection we have.

"Rossie, thank you for this dress" I say in high pitch child voice, trembling lips and happy tears fall in my crystal blue eyes. She messed my black raven hair with satisfied smile.

"It's nothing, everything for you little girl, I will sew anything kind of dress you want" she reassured filling warmth in my heart. But her face sudden changed with pure horror. Scene changed where we are surrounded by fear and horror around us.

"You must neglect it no matter what happen" she said hopeful look.

I was going to ask what she meant about what she said when my eyes open bloodshot staring and back at my cage. The hodgoblins still asleep while Yvonne and Christine are staring to them expecting for them to disappear to make it easier for us to escape, Christine catch me awake and take a gaze to me.

"Hey girl who doesn't have a name, I see you awake now where is the key" she vulgarly said with raising eyebrows. She makes me comfortable sometimes with her gaze like that bloodthirsty to kill look in her eyes.

I squirm to the dreadful stare I look away quickly and take out the keys from my ragged clothes where I hide them. I raised it to their view, Yvonne smiled while Christine smirked and gestured me to toss it to her. I did so throw it to her and catch it she didn't waste any more time and open the lock on her cage.

But before she could unclog the lock we are surprised when the unexpected appearance of hobgoblins in front of our cages with fury in their faces, I scream and kick my cages making it back away. Yvonne and Christine are also kicking them away from us, shrieking curses to them. Christine act first and kick the hatchway and crawl out of her cage.

When Christine is trying to lure away the hobgoblins who are chasing her, I and Yvonne trying to reach the keys that Christine drop inside her cage. I pressed my face trying to take a grasp of the keys but no avail until I saw Yvonne's hand take hold on the thing. She cheered to herself.

"Go Yvonne, open it now" I say and take a grip to the bars waiting for Yvonne to be free but anxiety filling my gut that they might come.

She trembling put the key inside the lock with sweat falling from her forehead, she was just twisting the keys when a scream agony stop the two us moving. Yvonne became distress and run away after she escaped throwing the keys away.

"Yvonne! Yvonne!" I yell for her but she's gone in my view, only the trees I can see, no Yvonne or Christine.

Extreme anguish I felt. Did they just leave me alone did they just leave me here while they escape? I keep asking myself, I want to cry in betrayal but I step my thoughts aside while I should try to reach the key 5 foot away from my cage. I again push my whole body while my arms stretch fully attempt to reach the keys, I wail because the keys are too far away for my reach. You can do it, you have a goal, find who you are or what you are, don't give up. I encourage myself and take a deep breath, closing my eyes calming my wild beating heart. I tried again to reach the key and distress is visible in my face, still nothing happened, inside the cage looking pathetic as I try countless of times.
