"The only difference between your friends and your enemies is you know who your enemies are."
-Lawrence
I sat in seventh-period not even listening to the teacher. My mind just kept replaying over and over again what Lawrence had said.
Why did he even ask me that?! He probably wasn't even serious. Maybe he was just playing around like usual and wanted to see how I'd react.
Well I thought wrong. He was serious. He kept making people give me notes saying "Deal or no deal?"
I'd pretend to be doing work so I wouldn't have to answer him but it wasn't easy when I could feel his eyes on me.
I just wanted school to hurry up and end already so I could go home, relax, and have some time to think.
Class was almost about to end and once it did I planned on clearing it quickly.
After some minutes school finally ended and I got up and exited the room fast. I just wanted to hurry up and leave already.
Well that was going to be a problem seeing as though someone had grabbed my arm and shoved me onto a locker.
I looked up to see Lawrence with a shockingly serious face. He moved closer to me and repeated once again for the 100th time "Deal or no deal?"
"Can't you give me some time to think?!"
"Nope. I need a answer right now. So what's you're answer?"
I groaned and laid my head back on the locker. What the hell is his deal? Can't he give me time to think?
I began to mentally fight with my brain deciding on what I should do.
As I was standing there quiet Lawrence spoke up. "Someone's quiet. That's the first."
I glared at him. "Shut up! So freaking annoying..." I mumbled the last part under my breath lightly.
"So, what's it gonna be Alice?"
I don't know why but maybe the devil himself was compelling me today because what I said even shocked me.
"Fine. It's a deal. I'll be your damn girlfriend."
He grinned in victory and leaned down closer to me. "Um...what the hell are you doing?"
"Going public with are relationship." I looked at him in confusion and before I could make a smart remark he moved even closer and did what I never thought he'd do.
He kissed me. Lawrence Conway a.k.a my ex-best friend had his lips pressed against mine. I didn't even kiss him back do to the fact I was stunned.
But when I saw everyone was looking at us and whispering I bit his bottom to get him to stop but he actually moaned and wrapped his hands around my waist and tried to deepen the kiss.
This time I hit him on his chest and that's when he stopped kissing me. "Why. In. The. Hell. Did. You. Kiss me?!" I asked pissed off.
"Well one to show everyone were going out and second because I can. Now lets go." He grabbed my hand and began to lead me outside to the parking lot.
"From now on I'm going to pick you up and from school. Got it?"
"Hold on! I don't need you to pick me up from school or anything. Julie's my car ride."
"Not anymore, sweetheart." We got to his car and he went to the passenger side and opened the door for me but I stayed still with my arms crossed not moving.
