Kuro looks at Mahiru with a worried look on his face.
Kuro: Mahiru?
Once Kuro said "Mahiru", the neighbor's facial expression softened immediately. Meanwhile, Mahiru was just staring at the dark haired man, unsure if he was hallucinating or not.
Mahiru: *to the neighbor* Is it really you?
Neighbor: *chuckles* It's nice to see you too...son...
Mahiru's eyes filled with tears.
Mahiru: Otōsan!!
Mahiru runs to his father and gives him a hug, letting the tears fall.
Mahiru: I missed you soooo much!!
Dad: Watashi mo aitakatta (I missed you too).
Kuro: *confused* Um... what's going on?
Dad: *to Mahiru* These two friends of yours?
Mahiru: Yeah, one of them is. The other's my boyfriend.
Mahiru's dad looks at Kuro, then Misono, then at Kuro again.
Dad: Is it the blue haired one?
Mahiru: 😲😲 How did you know?!
Dad: It was a lucky guess. What's his name?
Kuro: *yawns* It's Kuro.
Dad: Nice to meet you, Kuro. I'm Makoto Shirota, but you can just call me Dad since you're dating my little MahiMahi.
Mahiru immediately starts blushing from embarrassment.
Misono: MahiMahi?
Mahiru: I-It's just a nickname that he and my mom gave me. I-I don't like it one bit so don't call me that....EVER!!
Kuro: Then, just Mahi is okay?
Mahiru: Huh?
Mahiru turns around to face Kuro and he notices that the neet vampire was blushing.
Kuro: *pouting* Do you...not like it?
Makoto and Misono were staring at Mahiru, waiting for his answer and Kuro was shifting uncomfortably.
Mahiru: 😶 I-It's not that I dislike it... Kuu-chan...
It was Kuro's turn to blush from embarrassment.
Kuro: Mukiaenē...
Makoto: You guys are such a cute couple!! How long have you guys been together?
Kuro: Um... about fours years now.
Makoto: Four years?! You thinking about marriage yet?
Mahiru and Kuro blushed even more.
Mahiru: O-Otōsan!! I'm still in college!!
Makoto: It's never too late to think about it!! What about you, Kuro?
Kuro turns away from Mahiru and Makoto.
Kuro: I uh...have been thinking about it for a while now.
Both Misono and Mahiru were left completely shocked.
Misono+Mahiru: WHAT?!
Makoto: How long is "a while"?
Kuro doesn't answer, just fiddles with something inside his pocket. Meanwhile, Misono decided to properly introduce himself to Makoto as well
Misono: In case you didn't know before, I'm Misono Alicein.
Makoto: Nice to meet you, Misono. Sorry for being so rude to you for so long.
Misono: It's okay. After all, you don't really seem like such a bastard now.
Makoto: Is that a compliment?
Misono: Yeah, sort of.
