At the top of Mount Caindier sat the mighty and beautiful Queen Isis. Isis stood at 17 feet tall and had scales that were iridescent in color. She folded in her light blue wings and stared at Sugar and I. As we approached her, Isis moved her tail out of our way and allowed me to ride Sugar to the Caindier Cave entrance, where there was a wooden post for me to tie Sugar to. I dismounted and grabbed my things, giving Sugar a quick pat on her neck. Isis walked over to me and gestured to the cave. "Leave Sugar here. There are words that must be spoken in privacy. Even away from other animal ears." She spoke and then turned and entered the cave, leaving me with Sugar. I stroked Sugar's forehead once and made sure that she was securely tied to the wooden post, then I turned and entered the cave.

Upon entering the cave, I was surprised to find Isis' nest in the center of the cavern. I walked down the cool marble stairs that led down to her nest and walked to Isis, who was sitting in her nest. Isis was staring at the cavern walls, scanning the art on the walls that surrounded her nest. "Welcome, Miss Faith. My Seiyoka." Isis said, shifting her attention and focus to me. "Queen Isis." I greeted and respectfully gave her a little curtsy. Isis chuckled. "Your display of respect is most appreciated, however...it is no longer necessary to me." She spoke softly, slight humor in her tone. I smiled and nodded. "Alright. I will refrain from curtsying to you, Queen Isis." I said.

Isis smiled and sat down, furling her wings up and adjusting her legs to a comfortable position. "Faith. Do you know why I bit you on the day those Rogues attempted to attack me and raid my belongings?" Queen Isis asked. I shook my head. "No, I do not, Queen Isis." I responded.

Queen Isis sighed and shook her head. "Please drop the formalities, Faith. I have chosen you to be my Chosen Companion, my Seiyoka. From this day forward, until our goal has been accomplished, I am your DragonDew partner. Please treat me as such." Isis spoke. I nodded and sat down on a boulder in front of Isis. "What exactly...is Dragon's Touch?" I asked.

Isis sighed a breath of relief and stretched out her hind legs. "Dragon's Touch is a special and unique trait, rarely given to humans. In fact, the last human who was given this trait disappeared with a stolen dragon egg nearly fifty years ago. Since his disappearance, the Dragon's Touch was kept a secret amongst us dragons and it faded into legend for mankind. After the Rogue incident, we, the Dragon Rulers, made a pact that should any hint or sign of the Rogue's return or location, all of us Dragon Rulers would choose someone of the human race, and gift them with the Dragon's Touch. Our chosen humans, Seiyokas, would act as our DragonDew partners and they would aid us in our mission to find that Rogue." Isis explained, swishing her tail back and forth on the marble floor.

I crossed my arms and stared at her. "I promise I will cooperate with you, however, my curiousity has been piqued. What if a Seiyoka decided they wanted to rebel and have no part in this Mission? What if a Seiyoka was already paired with another dragon? How do you know if-" Isis raised her left paw, as if to silence me. "Seiyokas have no choice, for they were chosen at birth. Once a Seiyoka has been given the Dragon's Touch, visible through some sort of mark, they must take part in the Mission. They could try to rebel and attempt to have no part in the Mission, but their rebellious vacation would not last long for them. Eventually, the Dragon Ruler that chose them would summon them again, either by dream/nightmare, or by approaching them in public. As for if a Seiyoka was already paired with a dragon, that would not be possible. Seiyokas can only be chosen if they have been pairless since the Pairing Age of 16. If one of us Rulers attempted to make a paired human into a Seiyoka, the consequences would be horrendous. The previously paired dragon would become confused and either attempt to hurt itself or the paired human, or, attempt to return to the wild. The paired human would burn as the magic attempted to destroy the bond between the paired human and his or her dragon, to replace it with the Dragon Ruler's It would be a wasted attempt. The risks of endangering both human and dragon life would not be worth any of the possible benefits from making a paired human into a Seiyoka. That is why Seiyokas can only be chosen if they were never paired." Isis explained.

I relaxed my arms and let my hands fall to my lap. "How do you know if you've made the right choice? How do you know who to choose?" I asked. Isis chuckled and grinned. "Your curiousity is quite unique, Faith." She spoke softly. I smiled.
