(2) Juliana Romero (Demigod; CHB)

Juliana POV

I was just sitting in my science class at Lowing High School when Mrs. Morrisette called me aside after class.

I said, "What do you need Mrs. Morrisette?"

She said, "Oh how long i have waited for thissss. I ssssmell demigod blood."

I was just asking myself, "What the heck is a demigod?" I thought that I heard of that in history class, but I usually don't really pay attention so I don't know. She suddenly changed into a really ugly and evil looking person(A/N I forget what an empousai looks like). She hurtled at me with her claws out and fangs barred. I sidestepped out of the way and ran to the door. Then, my friend, Liam came in. He usually wears crutches, how was he going to help me? Instead of crutches, I saw furry legs. He also had a bronze knife in his hand. He ran over to that thing and stabbed her with the knife.

She exploded into gold dust. "What was that thing? Why are your legs furry?" I said.

He just said, "No time for questions. I will tell you on the way. Come on, follow me. You are in danger and we need to get you to camp."

I'm honestly so confused, but agreeing to his requests, I just ran after him. We got into his dark blue Ford pickup truck and drove away toward Long Island.

After about a minute or so I started asking questions, "Where are we going? What camp? How am I in danger? Why are your legs furry? What was that thing that attacked me?"

He just sighed and said, "We are going to Camp Half-Blood in Long Island. It is a safe haven for demigods, nymphs, satyrs, and other things. You are In danger because you are a demigod, a child of a mortal and a Greek god. Monsters like that empousai that attacked you smell the godly blood and follow you to try to kill you. I am a satyr, half goat, half human." I was completely and utterly shocked.

"So you're saying that those Greek myths are true? I'm a demigod?" I said.

"They aren't myths and yes, you're a demigod. Satyrs can tell when there is one." He said. I just nodded because I was so shocked. "Not much time left to go to get there. About five more minutes." He said.

About four minutes later, the car lurched to the side. We got out super fast and looked around. He pulled out two weapons from the car: a knife and a sword. He gave me the sword and he took the knife.

"Follow me! Camp is this way! We need to hurry if we want to be safe!" He said.

I started running after him. I looked back and saw the empisi, I think it's called.

"The empisi thing is chasing us!" I said.

He just nodded and said, "Run faster! The empousai can't run very fast!" Oh, they're called empousai. Why do they have to name things so complicated? Can't they just name it things people can pronounce and spell? My mom almost named me Juliet..... STUPID ADHD!! Ok back on track; we kept running when we came up to this hill.

"Welcome to Camp Half-Blood," he said.

I looked at my surroundings. I saw a pine tree with something gold draped on its branches. I also saw a dragon around the base of the tree. I screamed. Liam looked at me and saw what I was looking at and just shrugged. There was a place that looked like a house, a bunch of house-thingys, a volleyball court, a strawberry field, and a rock wall thing with lava spilling out of it. Ok.. this is dangerous.
