Grant POV

I awoke with some really loud alarm blaring in my ear. I shot up out of my bed and looked around my small bedroom in my apartment in New York. The tv was on, even though I didn't turn it on.

It was in Times Square Garden and there were 3 people on the stage with some powerful aura around them. The people who were gathered around looked scared and confused.

"It's time to come clean," the one in the middle who had blonde hair and bright blue eyes, wearing a blazer, and holding a lightning bolt thing said.

"We," he gestured to the other men standing next to him: a pale man to his right with black hair and black eyes with a black suit and a tan guy to his left with black hair and sea-green eyes wearing a Tommy Bahama shirt and khaki shorts, holding a trident in his hand. "Are the Greek gods," he finished.

"I am Zeus, king of the gods and god of the sky, lightning, and thunder," the middle one- Zeus - said.

"I am Poseidon, god of the sea, earthquakes, and horses," the one on the left said.

"And I am Hades, god of the underworld, dead, and riches," the last one said. No wonder he seemed so creepy and dark.

"Prove it!" Someone said from the audience.

Poseidon just smirked and said, "Gladly." He raised his trident and suddenly the ground started to shake and water bursted out of the nearest water tower. Zeus lifted his lightning bolt and a lightning bolt zapped in the distance and the sky got dark and cloudy. Hades waved his hand and a crack grew in the ground and dead corpses started coming out of the ground. People started screaming and trying to run away.

"Silence!!," Zeus yelled. "Anyways, we have hiding ourselves from you mortals for 4 millennia, but now you know. Everything exists: titans, Cyclopes, giants, monsters, demigods, all greek "mythology" stuff. Schools will now have a Greek mythology and a Greek language class at their campus. They will also change PE to make it have sword fighting classes led by demigods. There will also be assemblies at schools and jobs to introduce the 12 olympians and to meet some demigods. Under no circumstances will you hunt down the demigods because they," he quieted down, "saved the world." Then they flashed out.

I was in complete and utter shock. I used to be obsessed with Greek mythology when I was a kid, but I stopped learning about it years ago.

I looked at my clock. 5:39, it read. Ugh, I guess I better get up for school now. Today was the first day of school and let's just say I was not excited. I absolutely hate school especially since Percy went missing. I have other friends: Maddie and Quinn, but since they've been dating, I've been a third wheel. I have a girlfriend, but I only get to see her on weekends because she goes to a different school, sadly.

I got up and made my bed because "it leads to other good habits" as my mom would say. I changed into my jeans, black t-shirt, and Nikes. I brushed my teeth and my messy dirty-blonde hair.

I walked downstairs (making sure to keep quiet because my parents were sleeping) after grabbing my backpack and made myself breakfast. I brought my cereal to the couch and turned on the tv. It was re-runs of a basketball game with my favorite team, the Golden State Warriors.
