Hey guys, thank you all so much for reading and reviewing!! Here's another chapter!! Please review!!
Reader chan POV
I placed my last folded uniform jacket in my drawers next to my bed. I sighed and lifted my arms over my head, stretching my tense muscles.
I finished putting away the few items I had in the boxes I brought. There was mostly clothes and few items.
After my dad had practically left me for dead, I hadn't bothered to return to the house I had been living in for most of my life and gathered some of my things.
The only thing that I value is the ring Erwin gave me.
But other than, it's a few things I've found on expeditions that I may have "accidentally" picked up.
I heard a knock on my office door and I walked out of the bedroom, closing the door behind me and opening the one leading out to the hallway.
Erwin was standing outside, hands clasped behind his back and a kind smile plastered on his lips.
"Commander, please come in," I said as I stepped back from the door and let him pass.
"No need to be so formal (Y/N)" he chuckled as he stepped in and I closed the door behind him.
"Well when it's in public yeah I have to be." I said as I watched him sit down in one of the chairs in front of the desk, on the opposite side of my own.
"I see that you've settled down already," he said as his eyes scanned the room. I laughed as I sat on the edge of the desk.
"There wasn't much to bring, which was good. I'd probably get too lazy if there was too many things," I replied as I leaned back, my legs swinging back and forth in the air.
"Yes that's true...this is...this is quite new isn't it?" His gaze flickered upwards and locked on mine. I nodded in agreement and tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
"Yes is is new. But I'm getting used to it, little by little. Oh and I finished the report you asked me to do." I said, pointing at the small stack of papers beside me.
"I'm glad. I hope I'm not rushing you. After all, this is quite a big step," said Erwin as he grabbed the papers and read over them. I shrugged and got up from where I was sitting.
"It's okay. Hard work comes with this position, I can take it." I said as I walked behind my desk and sat on my chair.
I never thought I'd sit on a chair like this while Erwin sat on the other chairs, I thought.
"I know you can. Which is why I wanted you to become Captain. (Y/N) there's something I want to talk to you about," he sighed as he placed the papers on his lap and leaned back on the chair.
"Is everything okay?" I asked, my eyebrows furrowing at the sudden change to his serious tone. He took in a deep breath and continued.
"It involves the new recruits. Word has been spreading about their mysterious arrival, and apparently the Military Police know about them."
I frowned and leaned forward in my chair, my chin resting on my knuckles.
"Are you trying to say that you want me to kick them out of our head quarters?" I asked, a bit defensive.
"Calm down. Let me finish," he looked at me sternly, making me pout slightly and lean back.
"The MPs are coming to visit these new recruits. You know they're only coming to see if they can find some information on us to arrest us. Anything out of place can cost us, more importantly you or Eren, dearly. Therefore, I want you to talk to them. Create some files on them, keep them here, and talk to them about it. Then later talk to the rest of your squad. I will speak to Levi about this as well as Hanji," he instructed. I nodded and sighed in defeat.
"Were on very thin ice with the MP regiment," I muttered.
"Yes, that's another way to put it. I'll be leaving now. If you need help, you can always ask me okay?" Erwin stood up and patted my head like he's always done. I smiled and nodded.
"Thank you. Oh and who exactly is coming?" I asked as I followed him to the door.
"Their commander and a few cadets," Erwin responded. I nodded.
"Okay I'll take care of it. Thank you for telling me," I said. He gave me a small smile and squeezed my shoulder reassuringly before walking away towards his office.
Damn MPs, I thought.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw horse face talking to a girl who seemed annoyed.
"KIRSCHTEIN!!" I hollered, making him jump up and frantically look around for the person who yelled at him. The girl walked away as his gaze settled on me.
"Bring your ass over here!!!" I yelled. He walked over here and stood in front of me, a smirk plastered on his face.
"Yes, captain?"
"I want you to go to the new recruits and tell them to come to my office. Now." I said sternly.
"Jeez, bossy much?" He grumbled as he turned on his heel. I smacked him upside the head and he groaned in pain.
"I heard that, you twit. And it's urgent that's why I'm giving orders. And don't get so comfortable, that I'm going to talk to the rest you later," I said as he began to walk away faster than before.Le time skip brought to you by Erwin's eyebrows
My fingers drummed repeatedly against the top of my crossed arms over my chest. I breathed in deeply and exhaled slowly, as I looked out the window.
My gaze locked on village far away from HQ.
We were pretty far away from other civilians but my spot allowed me to see a small village far away. Sometimes I wish I was normal and wasn't a soldier and could live a normal life...well as normal as it can be.
My thoughts were disrupted with a knock on the door.
"Come in," I called out. I cleared my throat as I heard the door knob turn and the creak of the wooden door as it opened.
I didn't bother to turn around, since I knew who it was.
"You requested our presence?" said Ciel.
"Yes I did. Please have a seat," I responded as I took one more look at the village and turned around. (Oh shit, I'm all professional now)
Ciel sat down in one of the chairs and Mey-Rin took the other as the three other men stood behind them.
Sebastian's eyes were searching my face for something but my expression gave away nothing. I stood on the opposite side of the desk and looked at them.
"Is something wrong?" asked Finny. (A/N: omfg Finny and Armin are such cuties!! They're my cinnamon rolls!!!)
"Yes something is wrong. As you all know, we aren't necessarily on...best terms with the Military Police." I said and everyone nodded in agreement.
"Well, word has spread that we hired new people. But the thing is, it's new recruits without files and training," I said.
"And how are they related to that?" asked Bard.
"The Military Police knows about you all appearing all of a sudden with no training and joining the Survey Corps. So we have to create fake files for all of you because they're going to come for a visit and if anything is wrong, they will use it as an advantage against us and try to bring us down, again," I explained.
"So what you are trying to say is that we have to extinguish anything that might provoke them to act against us?" asked Sebastian, his crimson eyes searching mine.
"Correct. So we have to start on those files now."Sorry if it's short but here it is!! Please review!!
