Chapter 3: Dallas

I closed my eyes, crossed my fingers and I clenched my jaw as soon as I heard the gun shot noise. "Go, go Tabitha run", signals Dallas. He puts the gun back in his pocket and we both run out of the school grounds. Then we head to the Car park and hop into Dallas's car quickly. Within a minute we were on the roads, we both looked at each other, "feel better Tabitha, I will kill all your enemies and fears!", says Dallas in a very manly voice.

Then his words keep going in my head "I will kill all your enemies and fears!". It sounds really familiar to what someone else has told me but I don't get it. "Tabitha we have to go somewhere where we can never be found again!", says Dallas. "Where we can never be found again!". Ahhh that makes my mind fresh, we can run away from all the our troubles and run away to the future. I would love that, be free! But that can't happen easily.

"Where to Dallas", I say. "Now I got you talking", says Dallas. I get this map of Australia out of backseat and find a place where we can never be found. Dallas looks at me and chuckles, "Tabitha I want to get out of this country, I want to be free!". Says Dallas, "So your saying you want to get out of this beautiful country Dallas?". I say dramatically, "yes Tabitha, I want to go to the wonderful place of New York City!", says Dallas excitedly. "In your dreams Dallas!", I say back to him. "Hey don't in your dreams me, I am a man and I know how to sort my life out!". Says Dallas, "but what about our families ?", I say curiously. "Seriously Tabitha, do really want to see your family!", says Dallas.

"I kinda want to see my mum and dad but what about yours Dallas?", I say. "Tabitha my family is a long story and uh- it comes with a secret that I have been wanting to tell you for the past two months". Says Dallas, "tell me, tell me everything!", I say in an desperate voice.

"Well let's start with my parents, my mother got married with my father 17 years ago. But my father hid a big secret from her and that secret could destroy their marriage. It-it -was uh that his family and now including me can summon demons. I Know you think I am crazy but it's my life, then 8 years after their marriage he told my mother his secret, then they divorced. So to take things off my dads mind he started a gang, my dad is also one of the most successful drug dealers. So now I work there every day after school and get trained because I will be the boss in many years. But I don't want to!
my dad sometimes spends his nights at strip clubs, he is also dating a girl 3 years older than us named Francine who worked at this cafe. my dad fell in love with her because she was wearing a short skirt. He is such a gold digger, the thing is my dad is rich and now that they will be engaged soon it makes Francine rich as well. They both don't care about me and I am happy with that because I don't want to mess with any of their shit!", says Dallas in an frustrated tone.

"Do you have any siblings?", I say. "Well don't even get started on them Tabitha!", says Dallas. " I have two bitchy sisters!", says Dallas. While he talks his face turns red a lot, "Dallas are you okay? If your uncomfortable you don't need to talk about your family!", he smiles at me. "Tabitha will you ever change your emo look! Become a proper woman!". I gasp! Actually I have never thought of that maybe I should change my look at bit. So if I go somewhere I can disguise myself. "Dallas I might change my look!", he gasps, "I thought you would get upset at me!", says Dallas. We both giggle,I look at every detail on dallas's face, he is so brave and strong enough to kill someone.

Then I think about Laura, how would she feel if she find out that her brother is dead! What the hell have we done! Dallas reaches forwards and puts his left hand on my lap. "Tabitha we will be fine, we are going to drive to my house and will pack my bag to go to the airport!". Says Dallas "what about my clothes?", I say in a stressed voice.
