2 - New Places and New Faces

Austin's POV

We walked to the food court together, and when we got there, I saw Trish, Dez, and some blonde guy I'd never met before.

"Ehm, Ally, who is that?" I whispered, so only she could hear.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you about Dan!" She said. Dan?! Since when did she know a Dan?! "Dan, this is Austin, Austin, this is Dan!" She quickly said. I held my hand out to fist pump before Ally spoke again.

"Austin, I thought I'd let you know, Dan and I are dating." She said all cheery and happily. Inside I felt a strong pain in my chest as she said that.

"Hey, big fan of yours by the way, I'm guessing you want to know where I've suddenly popped up from." He said with a strong welsh accent. I sat down waiting for him to explain. Now everyone was sat down. "Well around two months ago, my brother and I decided it would be a good idea to move to Miami so he could go far in his DJ career, he's hoping to get a show on FM 109!"

"Cool." I said sarcastically. "So have you and Ally been getting busy, you know, you've got that look about you, using girls like Ally just to get in their beds." I said coldly.

"Austin!" Ally shouted. "You've only known him five minutes and you're already mouthing off!"

"Ally I.." I trailed off, I really didn't know what to say, so I just got up and left.

The whole way home, I was busy thinking about Ally and Dan. It doesn't even sound right. Ally and Dan, Dan and Ally.

I didn't know what I was feeling. I thought me and Ally were going to get back together, but obviously she has proved me wrong.

I think I was jealous. But I'm Austin Moon, I could get any girl I wanted. So why was I like this about Ally.

About an hour after I had been home, someone knocked on the door. As I was the only one home, I had to answer it.

"Ally?" I said as I opened the door. She was standing there herself, I was expecting Dan to be there with her.

"Hey Austin, I was wondering if we could talk?" She replied.

"About what? There's nothing to talk about, you're clearly with Dan, so there's nothing I can do."

"What?! Austin, I'm your song-writer! We're partners remember?"

"Well maybe we shouldn't be if you want to be with Dan!" I shouted, and I instantly regretted it.

"So you're making me choose between you and my boyfriend? Well guess what, I choose Dan!" She said, as she turned on her heel and started walking away.

"Ally, wait!" I shouted before she got to the end of the path.

"What is it Austin?" She turned around and I was my eyes were now locked with hers, I could see she was angry. I took a bit of her hair and twirled it with my fingers before she pushed my hand away.

"Look, Ally, I'm sorry. For everything." I said.

"Austin, it's not your fault."

We just looked at each other for a few more seconds, then I took my only chance, I kissed the girl I loved. I pulled her closer to me, and put my hands on her cheeks. That was before she shoved me away. I fell back a bit, nearly completely falling over.

"Austin!" She shouted. "I can't believe you!"

"You enjoyed it, admit it." I said.

"Austin, if Dan finds out about this, he'll be furious!" She exclaimed.

"Well I guess he won't have to find out, will he?" I said, walking towards her. I leaned in to kiss her again before being shoved away for the second time.

"Austin, no." Ally said.

"No what?" I replied sarcastically.

"We are not doing this, you can't just come up and kiss me whenever you want, I have a boyfriend!"

"Well I would have a girlfriend too if she didn't leave me." I replied.

"I didn't 'leave' you, there was a reason, you just don't understand!" She said, and walked away.
