*Ally's POV*

For the next couple of days, I didn't really talk to anybody. I just sat in my room writing songs. They were all about my recent experience.

My phone rang, for what felt like the hundredth time. I checked who it was, and no surprise, it was Austin. I let it ring out and add to the long list of missed calls. I didn't want to talk to him just yet. I didn't really know how I felt yet. If I got back with Austin, the same thing could happen again and he could be arrested. Okay, it's pretty unrealistic, but it could happen. It was 11:00pm, and I decided that I'd speak to Austin tomorrow.

I went through to the kitchen, as put the kettle on to make a hot chocolate. I was going to make my dad one, but he was asleep. Just as I got a mug from the cupboard, the doorbell rang. It was probably one of those sales guys that come to your house and try and sell you a new computer or something. But then again it couldn't be because it was so late at night. I opened the door and Austin walked in. I closed the door and turned to face Austin, who was now sitting on one of the stools next to the counter. He looked at me disappointedly.

"Ally, why have you been ignoring me?" He asked. "You're confusing me."

"Austin, I'm sorry, I just don't know what to do right now." I began. "I do love you, but if we get back together, then the rumours could start again."

"Then nobody has to know." He said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Ally, I love you, but nobody has to know we're back together," He said. "That means that we won't have to worry about the press." He added.

"I don't know, Austin." I said.

"Come on, let's go to your room, this stool is really uncomfortable."

"One minute, I need to finish making my hot chocolate!" I pouted. I put four teaspoons of hot chocolate powder into the mug, then poured the mug full of water from the kettle. I stirred it with the teaspoon and threw the spoon into the sink while I grabbed my mug and started to walk to my room, careful not to spill anything. Austin followed behind me.

"Ally, I know you want to get back with me." He said.

"Maybe I do, but I don't think it's a good idea." I replied.

"Are you sure?" He whispered as he walked towards me. He put his hands on my face.

"Au-Austin, if my dad catches you in here, he'll kill you."

"Well I guess he won't have to find me then." He replied as he walked to the door and locked it.

"Austin, please tell me what you're doing. You're starting to freak me out." I said.

"There's no reason for you to freak out." He replied.

"Promise?"

"Promise."

Austin pressed his lips to mine and it felt like it did the other night, when I chose Austin over Dan. Austin was holding my waist and I had my hands on his cheeks. It only lasted a short time before we both pulled away.

"Told you that you didn't have to freak out." Austin said.

"Austin, no one, and I mean no one, can find out about this, we still haven't found out who it was last time that started the rumours."
