They were both on their way home walking beside each other with Cameron on Kendall's right and him on her left. She was the one who protested that position. She did not know why but she felt more secured to have someone to her left. She did not know if it was because she was right handed or it was just her.

As they were walking down the road, he pulled her hair lightly. But it was enough for Cameron to stop.

"What is your problem?" she asked him. Kendall had always pulled small pranks like that on her whenever they were together. Sometimes, it made her laugh. But other times, it drove her insane.

"Keep your hair still. It's driving me crazy."

"You're just jealous because you don't have long hair." she said with a smirk. Kendall had always wanted to have long hair like his favorite vocalists. But the school forbade having any haircuts that was not 2x3 and colored hair.

"It's not that," Kendall said as he curled Cameron's hair in his fingers, "it just looks like a horse's tail with it swaying and all."

Cameron blushed. She hated it when people insulted her hair even if their intention was for her to put it down. She did not like it when others touch it either because it would get messed up. And once it did, she had to tie it up again which was very tiring for her arms.

"It doesn't! It just . . Sways like that. Just like how other girls' do!"

"Nope. Yours is so long, just like the length of the tail of a horse. It has the same color too."

"You have some guts calling me some horse." Cameron thought to herself as she scowled at him.

Cameron gave Kendall a punch on the arm, the hardest she could give. Her curled fingers hit his biceps and it hurt because he contracted it. She looked at his expression. He flinched, but it was a little too late for him to do so.

"You're not a good actor." she said with a pout. "I hate it when I can't compete with you."

"You mean to say that you want to have muscular abs and biceps like me?"

"Those are all fats, dummy."

"No, they're not! You just don't look when I show it to you."

"I'm not a pervert." she protested. Sometimes, she just did not know with that guy.

"You would not be just by looking." he leaned forward and gave a sly grin, "or perhaps you were thinking of something perverted?"

"Idiot! I hate you!" Cameron exclaimed. She continuously punched his arm. She knew that her fists was reddening, but she wanted to inflict even a small pain on him. It did not work, obviously.

When they were in front of her house, he said, "I guess this is where our travel together ends."

"We still have tomorrow." she said. She gave him a smile of reassurance before she went inside her house.

Cameron felt great about being able to talk normally to Kendall again. She was afraid at first that while they were walking, he would say something like - "I am tired of our friendship" or "I am bored of you". In any case, she would not doubt if someday he would blurt out something like that. Recently, she was not much of a friend.

"But perhaps I wonder if I had been a friend at all." she thought to herself.

Cameron sighed. Kendall had always been there for her through her tough times, even in trivial ones.
