An Adventure

Chapter 1

A cold hand was placed against Megami's flushed cheek as a warm light surrounded her like a blanket. Her eyes fluttered open to be meet with bright blue ones. A toothy smile was spread across the angelic face of the woman before her. Golden blonde locks flowed behind the woman like water. Recognization flashed across Megami's features and her mouth went dry.
"Mo-no it cant be...Who are you?" Megami moved away from the blonde's touch.
"Diana Acosta. I'm your mother, Megami." Diana's voice was heavenly. "The King..." Diana's voice trailed, "Go west and you'll meet with the minotaur Jakan Swiftstriker." Megami cocked an eyebrow. The light brightened and began to blind Megami as she watched it swallow up her mother. 'Mom...'
Megami pulled her knees into her chest and placed her head in her hands. She let the tears fall freely from her eyes. Something nudged her hand and licked her fingers. She opened one eye and looked at the small creature. A juvenile wolf sat infront of her. Its grey fur was slicked back from the down pour of rain outside.
'Oh...It was just I dream.' She thought and sighed. The wolf pup nudged against her hand. She stared at it.
"Please don't stare...it makes me uncomfortable." Megami's eyes widened in shock.
"Y-you..."
"Y-you talk?" The pup mocked her. "Hell, yeah I talk. Let's go before the rain clears up."
"Go...where exactly?"
"The mountains." The pup sat the entrance of the cramped space. "You're mother brought me here to help you." Megami backed into the stone wall more. She didnt trust this.
"Over here! I hear something!" Voices in the distance yelled.
"We haven't much time." The pup pulled on her jacket sleeve. Megami was torn between to things, leave with a talking animal, or see what happens next. She had the choice between the known and unknown.
