I woke up the next morning with a smile on my face, ready for the day ahead. Today was Sunday which meant my mom would be home to fix breakfast, and I had a date with Namjoon. Like a very real clearly stated date.
I shuffled downstairs to find my mother pouring us both a cup of coffee. When she noticed me her face lit up. "Morning sunshine!" I made a weird face causing her to stick her tongue out. "I can still call you that Jin, so don't start."
I waited for her to sit across from me before beginning to eat. "So mom, I was wondering if I could go out tonight?"
She nodded humming. "Of course you can, is there another way to take out the trash?"
"Mom!" I hit her arm playfully, making her laugh.
"I was just kidding, are you going out with Hoseok?"
"Actually," I stirred my coffee slightly, wondering what her reaction would be. "I'm going on a date."
"That's cute."
"With a boy."
"Mhm,"
I looked up at her with a confused expression. "What do you mean, Mhm?"
She smiled widely, poking my nose. "Jin, you're a teenager, do you really think I don't check your phone?"
My face reddened as I thought of all the possibly embarrassing things she could have read. "Oh.My.God."
