Sam might've come back, but Ricki didn't. He called from Bobby's a day after the Scarecrow to see how we were getting along, and we explained the story to him and he was pretty shocked to hear about Paganism in small town Indiana. He decided he was going to hang out at Bobby's for a while, to deal with what's going on with Heath and our dad.
Speaking of my dad, he isn't even answering my calls anymore. He found out that I was hunting and stopped answering me. Asshole.
"Hey, dad. I just wanted to let you know that your youngest child is now in a mental ward because he's unstable. And of course, I called myself in and had to be the one to deem him that way. His doctors have my number and my number only, so if you want to hear more about him, you'll have to call me back. Fuck you for disappearing." I say, leaving my father a voicemail. I don't know what the fuck has gotten into him.
"You okay?" Dean asks, putting an hand on my back as I lean on the Impala, my head resting in my arms.
"No." I shake my head. "In the span of 48 hours, I broke up with someone I love, put my brother in a ward, slept with you, which was good don't worry I'm not mad, fell in love all over again, and almost died because of a psycho Pagan scarecrow God." I shake my head. "Hunting has gotten so crazy since I left the life."
"Did you just say you fell in love me?"
"Shut up, asshole." I laugh and he kisses my temple. "Hey, no chick flick moments."
"No chick flick moments yourself." He kisses me.
"Corny." I mumble, but kiss him again.
"I fell in with love you too." He replies, and Sam comes out of the motel.
"Come on, lovebirds, I got us a case."
"I'm going to sit this one out. I'm think I should go to Bobby's. Get a sense of home, with him and Ricki."
"We'll drop you off." Dean says, and squeezes my hand before heading back into the motel. I don't even attempt to get my bag, because I know he's just throwing all our stuff into two bags, and giving me the one that's got my toiletries in it, even if I'll have ten of his shirts and he'll have all of my pants.
I call Ricki when we're an hour out, and tell him to tell Bobby to get my room ready for me to have a small meltdown in. Sam and Dean told me they wouldn't be stopping in, because they don't think it's the right time to see him. Last time Dean saw Bobby, he cocked a shotgun at him and John and Sam hasn't seen him in a long time, and they don't want it to be awkward, and neither do I.
I'll see you soon." I kiss Dean, and he hugs me extra tight, and tells me he'll call me later. I wander through the lot of dirt covered cars, and up the stairs, knocking on the door.
"Read the sign! I don't want no damn-" Bobby shouts, and swings the door open. "Well, lookie here." He smiles. "Little Dallas Winters, steps down from her high New York City horse to see her Uncle Bobby." He smiles and hugs me. "How ya doin', kid?"
"I'm good." I breathe in the scent of Bobby. Whisky, gun powder, and a little musk. Home.
"Heard you put Heath in a ward."
"I had to. It was either he goes insane, or he gets put under 24 hour care and gets better to some extent. I wanted him to get better."
"Must not've been easy."
"That plus a major breakup and my first hunt back where I was held as bait for a Pagan God. I'm ready for a week long nap."
"You sound like you need a drink. Whisky okay?" I nod and he gets two glasses. We sit and catch up while we wait for Rick to get out of the shower. He claims to be proud of me for achieving so much, but at the same time I don't know how true that is. If he's proud of me how could he have said such harsh things to Sam right before he left?
