Finally Found Us (Josh Dun x Reader)

·Chapter 8: Uh·

"Hey Spencer..." You whispered, watching your sleeping son stir at the soumd of his name.

"Speeencer..." You said a little more loudly. This caused him to stretch a little before slowly opening his eyes.

"Do you want to go to Caleb's house today?" You asked. This question instantly woke him up.

"Yea!!" He said excitedly, now smiling.

Caleb was Alexis' son. He was about the same age as Spencer, only Caleb was a couple months older.

"Caleb's mom invited you over. So were gonna go hang out for a while." You explained with a smile. "Were gonna leave as soon as you get ready, okay?" You told him.

It wasn't long before Spencer was ready. You helped him of course, but he seemed to be in a rush throughout the whole process.

"Lets go mom!" Spencer said, grabbing your hand excitedly. You looked down at him with a chuckle, nodding. "Alrighty. Let's go!" You said, following him out of the door as you locked it behind you.

You and Alexis sat on the couch and watched Caleb and Spencer play together, smiling at the things they thought up.

"Kids always have the biggest imaginations." She said, looking back to you. "Definitely. They think of things I could never think of." You chuckled, looking at her too.

The two of you talked back and forth, talking about random things.

"Yea, I've had this stomach bug for a week or so. I've thought about going to the doctor for it but I'm hoping it will just go away." You sighed.

"Ooooo is somebody pregnant?" Alexis teased.

You sat there, nearly frozen.

"Why are you making that face... Don't tell me-"

"Okay I'm not saying I am but I'm not saying that its entirely impossible." You mumbled, now realizing that it could definitely be a possibility.

"Oh my god I'm so happy for you!" Alexis said, leaning over and giving you a big hug.

You hugged her back, not really knowing what to do.

She pulled back from the hug, noticing that you seemed a little upset. "You okay?" She asked.

"I'm fine I guess... Josh and I never really talked about having another though." You explained.

"I'm sure he'll be happy. I mean, its Josh." Alexis reassured you as you began to panic.

"(Y/N), I'm sure its just a stomach bug like you said. The best thing to do would be to go to the doctor and figure out what's really going on." She explained.

"Y-Yea... I'm sure." You smiled, trying to feel hopeful.

You and Spencer stayed at Alexis' house for anotherrhour or so before leaving.

On the way home, Spencer seemed to pick up on you feeling upset.

"Mom...? Are you okay?" He asked innocently from his car seat.

"Yea... I just miss your dad." You smiled, not wanting him to worry.

"Can we face call him when we get home?" Spencer asked excitedly.

"Of course." You chuckled at his description of a video chat.

Spencer brought his tablet into the dining room from his room, excited to talk to Josh.

The call rang for a couple seconds before Josh picked up.

"Hey buddy!" Josh said, his smile lighting up the screen. His smile cauaed you to smile, and you realize how much you missed him.

"Hey dad!" Spencer said excitedly. "Hey Josh." You smiled, causing Josh's smile to widen.

"Hey (Y/N)." He smiled. "How re you guys doing?" He asked. "Good! How are you and Uncle Tyler?" Spencer answered instantly, eagerly awaiting an answer.

Spencer and Josh talked back and forth for a while, and you listened as the two spoke to each other.

"Alright Spence... I think its time for bed." You said. "But.." Spencer interrupted himself with a yawn. "I think your mom's right bud... It wouldnt hurt to get some sleep." Josh said, backing you up.

You picked your sleepy son up from the chair, and chuckled at how he gave in so quickly.

"Ill be right back" You mouthed to Josh before taking Spencer down the hall to his room.

After a couple minutes, you came back in to the dining room, sitting down at a chair.

"Hey." Josh smiled. "Hey." You smiled back.

The two of you talked for a little while before conversation ran out. You decided to ask Josh about something you had been thinking of ever since you left Alexis' house.

"Hey Josh?" You asked. "Yes?" He responded, a look of concern on his face as he seemed to realize how serious you were.

"Would you ever want another kid?" You asked quietly.

Josh's face froze a little, a tense look in his eyes.

"Josh?" You asked, seeming to shake him out of a trance.

"Well... It isn't really something I would be crazy about." He responded. "So...?" You egged him on to say more.

"I'm not really interested in it. Or even the thought of it, really." He admitted.

This caused your stomach to churn.

"Would you be upset if it were to happen?" You asked, trying to keep it together.

"I mean, I probably wouldnt necessarily be happy about it right now." He said, causing you to feel even more sick.

"Is there a reason you're asking?" Josh asked. "No. Alexis and I were talking about kids and she mentioned something about it." You said.

"Alright... Just as long as everything is okay." Josh said, smiling to lighten the mood. "Of course!" You smiled, nodding.

You turned off the tablet after you and Josh hung up the video call, and you thought you were going to throw up.

"Okay... It isn't even definite that I'm pregnant. Its just a thought... Ill go to the doctor and get this all sorted out." You said, trying to calm yourself.

You had no idea what was going to happen if you were. And you weren't sure where it would take you. And quite frankly, it scared the shit out of you.
