You, Josh, and Spencer were in the car on your way to the hospital. It had been a couple days since Tyler and Jenna went with you.

Ruby was doing really well, and the doctors said that she would probably be able to come home sooner than the due date. They didn't specify when, but you were still extremely excited regardless.

Josh pulled into the parking lot, and turned the car off. "Only a few more weeks of doing this Spencer." You smiled back at your son.

You and Josh were always excited to come to the hospital, but you were sure that it wasn't always as exciting for Spencer.

When you walked in, the same secretary greeted you and you went down the same hall as you did everyday.

You scanned your pass, and walked through the door, Josh and Spencer following behind you as usual.

"Good morning Mr. And Mrs. Dun! And Spencer." The doctor smiled at all of you.

"Good morning!" Spencer replied excitedly.

As you walked up to where Ruby was, you noticed something exciting.

Not a single wire was connected to her.

A confused look crossed your face as you looked up at Josh, then to the doctor. It was odd enough that Ruby's doctor was in here this early anyways.

"She's ready to go home." The doctor explained, and she couldn't help but grin. "Really?" Josh spoke first, his eyes wide with excitement.

"She's doing really well. She's stable enough to be at home with her family." She explained.

A wave of excitement rushed through you. When she came home, nothing would be empty anymore.

"That's amazing..." You whispered. You were still in awe.

"We'll get her out of there, and we will get all of her paperwork so you can take her home!"

Everything seemed to go slowly. You were extremely impatient through the whole process.

You were finally taking her to the car though, and it was an amazing feeling. Josh had run back to the house to get the car seat for her, and you were carefully putting her into it now.

Even though she was bigger than when she was first born, you were still scared she was going to somehow get hurt.

"Was I that little?" Spencer asked as he watched from the car seat. "Not quite this little, but you were really tiny at one point." You explained, clipping the buckles together.

After you clipled her in, you got into the passenger seat beside Josh.

"Let's go home." Josh smiled.

°°°

Josh walked up to the front door, and hurried to open it for you.

You were carrying Ruby in the baby carrier, and you were being extremely careful. "I remember the first time we brought Spencer home." You smiled, glancing up at your son.

He was standing beside Josh, excitedly waiting for Ruby to come inside.

As you walked through the doorway, it felt like there was a weight lifted off of your shoulders.

"She's finally home." Josh sighed. The three of you had been waiting for this for weeks. And it was actually happening.

You carried the baby carrier down the hall, and made a turn into Ruby's room.

Josh and Spencer followed you, and waited by Ruby's crib aa you got her out of the small car seat. You walked over to the crib, and leaned over it, putting her down inside.

As you stepped back, you smiled.

Things would finally be okay.
