Finally Found Us (Josh Dun x Reader)

·Chapter 5: Packing·

[This chapter is gonna be pretty short and I'm sorry about that.]

Tonight would be the last night you would see Josh for quite some time.

You were happy for him, but you would definitely miss him. Tomorrow he would be leaving for tour.

He hasnt gone on tour in a while, so this would be an unusual feeling while he was gone.

Today was the day of packing, however.

It was always one of the most hectic days for you and Josh. Trying to find everything he needed to take with him was nearly impossible.

This time you made a list, hoping that it would help more this time.

"Okay... Do you have you enough clothes?" You asked. "Yep!" Josh said confidently. "You still have a couple shirts that you left here if you wanna take those just in case..." You said thoughtfully.

"I should be fine. Besides, they can be sleep shirts for you, right?" Josh said, coming up behind you and wrapping his arms around your waist.

This caused you to chuckle, a smile spreading across your face. "Whatever you say." You responded. Of course you wanted him to have clothes to take, but you werent going to complain about being able to wear his shirts to bed while he was gone.

You went through the routine, asking him if he had various items.

There were things that he needed to use in the morning to get ready of course, but he had everything else packed that he needed.

After you went through the checklist, Spencer came into your room.

"Dad... Where are you going tomorrow?" Spencer asked curiously. "Well tomorrow I'm gonna get on a plane to go to Florida." Josh said, taking his arms away from you.

"Why do you have to go there?" He asked, confused. "Do you remember when you were little and he went around the world?" You asked, picking him up.

Spencer shook his head no, which didnt surprise you. The last big tour that Josh was on was when Spencer was about three years old, so there was a good,chance he didn't remember much.

"Well, your dad and your uncle Tyler are gonna go around the world and make a bunch of beautiful music for a lot people." You said, smiling. "Their music helps a lot of people." 

"So dad and uncle Tyler are like superheros?" Spencer asked, amazed. "Absolutely." You smiled, agreeing.

"So they're going around the world to help people?" Spencer asked, and you agreed.

"Dad you're so cool!" Spencer said in awe, looking at Josh with admiration.

"Thanks Spencer." Josh said, a look of pride in his eyes.

The three of you decided to stay home and watch some movies for the rest of today, spending some family time together before tomorrow morning. It wasn't necessarily a family outing, but you loved it just the same.
