You walked into the small cafe, and immediatly the scent of coffee wafted into your nose. It smelled very good and appetizing, but you immediately dismissed the thought. You were a ghoul so you shouldn't be able to find anything that humans ate appetizing .

You spotted Kaneki sitting in the corner by a window slowly sipping on a glass of coffee. Wait coffee? Could ghouls drink coffee? You hurried over to where he sat, and immediatly sat down in front of him.

You watched as his grey eyes slowly came up to meet your e/c ones, and he gave you a gentle smile.

"Hey Y/n, how is your day so far?" You gave him a sad smile before replying. You felt absolutely horrible for him. He didn't deserve to be turned into a ghoul, he was the sweetest person you knew and you had only known him for a few weeks, but you couldn't help but to sympathize with him.

"It has been going as well as it could be after what happened. What about you? How has your day been?" He looked down sadly before looking back up at you mustering whatever strength he could to answer your question.

"About the same, I am just really confused, and I have no idea on what I should do. I have made some friends that are willing to help me out though which is good." You gave him a small smile, it was good that he had found some friends that could help him, regardless of the situation.

"That is good, I have decided that I am going to tell my father about the predicament that I am in. I know he will start to question you as well but I am going to tell him that for one of my organs they had to use a different donor than yours due to the fact that we both had one of the same organs damaged.  I mean I can always not tell him if you are not comfortable, but it is true that they had to use another organ from another person so he shouldn't find out, but even if he does I promise to protect you Kaneki."

Kaneki looked up at you, a blush dusting his face, and his beautiful grey eyes slightly widened, and his eyes showed mixed emotions. Though you didn't blame him for that if you had been told what you had just said you would more than likely be a little confused about what was going on.

"That is fine Y/n, I believe in you, just promise that no matter what happens you will stay alive. I don't want to lose you, I have kind of...well I've kind of..." You looked at him in confusion, he kind of what?

"I kind of have gotten really attached to you, and I don't want to see anything bad happen to you!" You felt your face heat up, and you knew that you had to beat red at the moment, yet all you could do was stare at Kaneki with wide eyes, but within a few seconds

"That sounded almost like a confession Kaneki..." You wanted to sound confident but it came out sounding more nervous than you wanted it to. But it was true it certainly did sound like a confession.

"Umm...well I might have a little...a tiny crush on you..." Your face once again flushed bright red, and you could feel your heart pound in your chest to the point where you could hear it pounding in your ears.

"Really?" Kaneki looked up at you and then slowly nodded his head, you could see that he was being honest with you.

"I might have...a tiny crush on you as well but we need to get things a little more figured out before we act on our feelings. I know this might sound selfish, but we are both confused at the moment about what is happening to us so when things calm down a bit, let's try going out on a date, how does that sound?" You asked, you knew that it was a difficult time for the both of you with all the major changes going on in your mind and body, so you wanted to take the time for the two of you to figure out what you were going to do before you did anything rash.

"I agree, then it is a promise." You smiled and held out your pinkie to which Kaneki immediately responded by wrapping his pinkie around yours.

"It's a promise."

Soon enough you left and walked towards your home, it was quite early so you didn't expect Arima to be there yet. You walked down the familiar streets until finally, you reached your home, but you were immediately met with Arima's white hair and grey eyes as he looked over towards you.

"Y/n..."
