Megan Frost ( Chapter One of Part One )

First Battle

"It's Doom's day." Bulong ko habang kinakasa ang AK47 na hawak ko. "Come on Frost, that's how you greet me now? I think it should be Happy Birthday," sarkastiko niyang sabi sabay ngisi sa akin na parang nakikipagplastikan lang. Tumingin ako sa pader na nasa left side ng building na ito at dito ko nakita ang isang calendar, it's October 24.....they were right, it's the Excellent Shifter's birthday. "You never changed, David Von Doom, I should have told them to give me some scotch tape to lessen your verboseness." I talked back seriously while pointing the gun into his face. "Hmmmmhmmm," kakaiba talaga ito sa mga ibang target na nakilala ko, when the death and his face met...laughter is always expected, imbis na matakot ay nagawa pa talaga nyang tumawa. Wala pang ilang segundo ay limang matitikas nyang tauhan ang lumabas mula sa dilim na may dalang mga baril.

Oh crap, I didn't notice that there were still some of his men hiding since I entered the building. Binato ng isa sa kanila ang revolver sa kamay ko, pero dahil sa alam kong mabilis ako ay akma ko ng sasaluhin ang revolver nang may biglang humawak sa leeg ko kaya napahawak na rin ako sa malaking braso na nakapulupot sa aking leeg, and because of the sudden appearance of this big guy ay tuluyang natamaan ng revolver ang aking kamay dahilan upang mabitawan ko ang AK47...shit! It hurts.

"Ang lakas talaga ng loob mong pumunta rito sa teritoryo ko ng mag isa, kaya naging isa na rin ako sa mga tagahanga ng isang Agent na tulad mo dahil sa iyong katapangan, Megan Frost." Isang ngisi muli ang umukit sa kanyang mukha. "All of you, drop all you're weapons, let's give this south agent a taste of defeat." He sorely said and I presumably think that his words was the signal of their first attack. The five men ran towards my direction and it was like a stamphede. Siniko ko ang mukha ng lalaking nasa likod ko dahilan upang mabitawan niya ako. I did the figure 4 that made him unconcious.

I prepared myself for battle.........what I could only say is, this is fun!

Tumalon ako ng mataas sabay ipit ko ng ulo ng isa gamit ang aking mga paa tsaka malakas na pinwersa ito pababa na sanhi ng kanyang pagka ngudngod sa semento, I dodged one's arm and kicked his ass for him to give up, kasabay ng pag ilag ko sa isa ay ang pagbitaw ko naman ng malakas na suntok sa isa pa dahilan upang mahilo ito, I kicked their guts in one round that made them fell to the ground.

Kasabay ng paghahabol ko ng hininga ay ang papalakas na palakpak ni Doom mula sa di kalayuan. "I really love you being that way, but sad to say you're my enemy and those enemies whose number one goal is to hinder my plan must be slayed." Matiim nyang saad. Wala akong kahit na ano mang baril o patalim kaya mahihirapan akong pasukuin siya.

"Get ready for the final round bitch, 'cause I'll gonna turn you into pieces!" He shouted and pulled the trigger that made the situation more difficult than it already was.

Tila slow motion ang pangyayari nang tumama ang bala sa aking braso, it hurts I know, but I have to keep my strength with me, I have to fight no matter what happens...I have to defend myself from this heartless crap. Tumayo ako ng walang pag aalinlangan at mabilis na hinablot ang swiss knife mula sa ibaba.

Tumigil siya sandali at itinutok muli ang nguso ng baril sa noo ko. "You'll regret everything you have done to me and to my business, now, what's your last word sweetheart?" Banta niya.

Lumapit pa ako ng konti, "Hindi mo pa ako nakikilala," matatag kong sabi sa kanya, akmang itutuloy na nga niya ang pagbaril nang mula sa di kalayuan ay may narinig akong putok at kasabay nito ang paghandusay ng katawan ni Doom sa sahig. I always expect this guy coming everytime the danger appears.

"That was close." He said, "Too close..." I respond and passed by him, "It's not bad to say thank you," saad niya sabay habol sa akin, "Steven Hunt, there are still many mess to clean, we have to get this mission cleared," I explained to him...but he seemed to be not satisfied of my words yet.

Bahala nga siya dyan, tumalikod na ako at sinabing,
"The Alpha had a deal with the Ruffian once, they will make any progress just to fullfil that plan, and I have to find out what plan is that all about," wika kong muli nang hindi lumilingon sa direksyon niya.

"I will always be with you Agent Frost," nandyan nanaman si Steve, the reason why I always keep distance between the two of us is that he has something on his head and those are nuts.

I rolled my eyes on him, "I'll be right back," tugon ko.

I get inside the car and drove away that building. Maayos nalinis ng mga kasamahan ni Steve ang gulo, magaling ang Agency namin pagdating sa mga patagong kasong ganon kaya hindi nakakahanap ng kahit na anong butas ang mga FBI o kahit mga pulis.

I climbed down the car. Nang makapasok na ako sa opening ng Compound ay tinungo ko ang room 63 na aking kwarto. Pabagsak akong humiga sa kama at unti unting hinubad ang aking combat shoes para komportable sa pakiramdam.

Dahan dahan kong inikot ang aking paningin sa wall clock at dito ko na realize na mag aalasdose na pala ng gabi. I heard someone knocking so I turned the doorknob and let the newcomer entered my room.

"Althea, why are you still awake?" I asked her with patience.

"I have nightmares," she answered. She's carrying a teddy bear with her own bare hands. I also used to carry stuff, but only the lethal ones.

"Come with me, I'll take you to your bed," I held her hand and she held mine too. I was going to reach the doorknob when she suddenly hugged my waist. Kids are sweet..........and I hate them.

"But I want to sleep with you," She pleaded.

I sighed. I just remembered the moment when I was still eight like Althea, our teacher in Combat Skills locked me in an abandoned building alone, there I learned on how to be not frightened all the time, I learned on how to calculate things, I learned on how to be valiant without anyone that could inspires me or even lend me strength.

I knelt down the floor and wiped her tears off her face.
"Listen to me kid, your first test is on tomorrow, Mr. Bouldstridge our founder will be watching you and excellent performance is a must, everyone will get to know you out there and I say, you must be brave."

"B-but I can't, how can I pass all the tests if I am not yet trained?" Tanong niya.

Trained? That's more like it...

"I have an idea,"

"What idea?"

"We'll talk about that tomorrow kid, let's go to sleep first,"
